Have you found out what's the prob? I have the same issue. I have no notes appearing and I really wished to play the game... Could it be a dll issue of some kind? And I have no idea where to ask either... :/

No I didn't find a fix. It may indeed be because something required is missing, but I don't get any error messages so I don't know how to pinpoint the problem.
