After reading that overview, I launched the AVN without much hope tbh, but boy, after reading for a while a song started playing in the back of my mind: When an irresistible force such as you, Meets an old immovable object like me, You can bet just as sure as you live... Something's gotta give.
Story: 5 Adamant-Hard Bananas out of 5
Corporate Culture presents a simple premise, the everyday life of a normal guy (stagnated in his life) like any of us, yet complex enough to make it interesting at the same time, achieving that requires a lot of talent, well done dev.
This is a novel on all its splendor, so I understand if you dont like slow-burns, but If you came here expecting a carnival of flesh you will leave disappointed.
Characters: 5 Adamant-Hard Bananas out of 5
The heroines look good and somewhat realistic, very appropriate for the corpo setting, known for being highly superficial, but they are well written too, Elsa particularly: Last time I've seen a char that well written was Morrigan from DAO, she's beatiful, she has that sarcastic and acidic humor, yet she's helpful and don't sugar-coat truth for our MC every time he's being too naive for his own good.
Speaking of the devil, our MC, Edward, is not your typical MC that has everyting served on a plate, He's in the slums of life, completely stuck and wallowing in his own misery...And I love it.
I understand how fun power fantasy is, but having a more "earthly" character is a breath of fresh air, and gives room for a clear character development, and it works for the setting.
Mechanics: 3 Almost-Hard Bananas out of 5
No puzzles or minigames *chef kiss*
No in-game gallery *sadge* but there's not enough content to display on it anyway.
There's some decisions to make, but they dont seem to be relevant enough for the plot at the moment.
Content: 1 Sleeping Banana out of 5
This is a slow-burn so the adult content doesn't seems to be dev's priority.
There's one scene, but since I live by the "don't shit where you eat" motto, Wasn't interested in it to happen.
Other scenes happen on a flashback but they serve as plot devices, but at the moment and completely according to the plot, there's not enough adult content.
Ending: *404*
Pending of rating, since there's no ending yet.
Corporate Culture presents a depressing but very real premise, with a main character that is really easy to empathize with due to his problems and desires in a slow story that may not be for everyone, but if you like to read, I can't recommend it enough.
Can't wait to see where the plot is going, but for now. well done Dev.
