Looked up the dream sequence for Ryn and it's literally called Etheryn dedicking, like God yes please that's all i ever wanted

And it's tied to high corruption so that should let you know the writer's opinion on having Ryn losing her penis.

I am surprised that they didn't allow her to actually grow one in addition to her penis like Arona did tho. I think she has too many variables already so that's why they don't do it. They've been cutting this game to the bare minimum for a while now.

The only reasonable explanation i would accept for why Ryn only has a dick would be that they were actually a boy when they were younger but because of Alissas obsession with them she feminized Ryn a little bit and placed the cage on them

I’m pretty sure that was the original plot-line. I distinctly recall hearing it said that Etheryn’s original story beat was a prince who had been feminized by his abusive older sister, which is the state you’d find them in, but as the story progressed, I think the writers got cold feet.

One of the only remaining nods to this in the entire game was Hethia’s lines to Etheryn in the quest where you rescue Garret, which are now unused, since Garret’s quest was changed to be mandatory.

I get why they changed it, but personally, I think it’s fucking lame. There was serious potential there, but Savin pussyfooted around the risk of offending people with less-than-perfect representation of ‘muh pretty dickgurl princess’.

Honestly, that’s kinda the issue on the larger scale. Just look at corrupted Khor’Minos getting axed; I guarantee you there was an element of ‘I bit off more than I could chew when planning’, but you can’t tell me nobody winced looking at the implications.

EDIT, because I’m not done:

The question of “how did things go wrong” compared to CoC1 (you know, the thing people have argued in circles over for hundreds of pages?) becomes pretty fucking clear when you extrapolate the earlier conclusion to this.

Times changed, people’s sensibilities (and sensitivities) shifted with them, and people didn’t want the darker aspects in a porn game, even when that porn game has a brand to keep.

Sure, it's more fun than playing the game. Except for the Lesbian Knight and the Bee Girl, they'd still be irrelevant with an emo phase anyway.

I'm glad that's the case, it would kill me if they were to take the original Bridget plot from Guilty Gear about a boy forced into a role for society expectations, and having to learn how to live with his own identity, with what being a man really means for him, and twisted into the new western plot of Bridget "was trans all along", man what a waste of good ideas and development

Etheryn as she is works great, her big quest is fun too. You get to play as Conan the Destroyer destroying the evil family member and her demonic forces and now your princess sits on the throne. It's one of the most fantastic adventure thing this fantastic adventure game let you do

i didnt say it wasnt asked for, i said it keeps getting made even when other content is asked for. like specifically i remember there being a bit of an uproar (here at least) when kalsyea got more shit because people wanted other stuff to get fleshed out not this random ass side character that is extremely offputting to many people.

But yeah the prioties of the writers are definitly ass. Or rather they just wanna write their favourite fetish.
I still won't forget the state Alante was released in, compared to Kaly. Just sad. (Guess we have to wait for the futa expansion off Alante )

And the amount of time Kalysea probably took getting coded, even still to this day.
Every unique can have the "metal" flag, JUST for her. Nothing else uses it. What a waste of dev resources.

I remember the main frustration with Kelt back in the day being that he was a massive dick, not that he was a dom with mind break fetish content. And since he was on the farm and had the bow/archery content, you were basically forced to interact with him in some way.
The druid isn't an immediate asshole to the PC and can be comfortably ignored. I wouldn't really equate the to. Dr. Badger in TITS is much more similar to Kelt.

I liked that you could get revenge by turning him into a woman. Tying him up and force feeding stuff. Shame we can't take a page from our predecessor. I mean I'm not saying we should.... but what I am saying is. We have a proven method to solve a lot of issues. Kidnap, restraint, and forced ingestion of different alchemical ingredients. It's not even a bad way to go either! Champ has a magical dick that gives everyone a good time. Look at Brienne? It would be more cruel to not do it!

The only downside with Kelt Kelly was we couldn't go get his her wives . I mean our my wives.

Taking down certain dommy npcs is pretty nice.
Probably why Sera remains one of may favourite characters between COC1/2 and TITS

i heard there will be purification route for our demon kassyra which is totally not calise, really hoping there would be option to dedick her and wife her up. but knowing savin it probably won't be an option

Sounds similar to the Kiro quest in TiTs where if you leave Kiro too long she becomes a bimbo liked the variation personally.

Seems to be an ongoing problem with CoC 2 in recent years that newer characters are more fleshed out than a lot of older characters that many enjoy and wanted more content for. Alante vs Kal and Tav is a good example where Alante a character who had been around since the start of the game seemed really bare bones in content compared to Kal and Tav who are more recent characters written by Wsan. I don't know if its due to appeasing top donors on patreon or Wsan can now only write well when its content that his personal fetish.

Honestly I could care less about half of the companions in the game, the only two that are ever in my party are Etheryn and Brienne and the only exception being Arona considering she's actually likeable and has content.
