Hey, I got the solution andonly other reasonable option is a man in the middle attack. someone intercepting your communication, could be public wifi, could be your internet provider, could be a weird kind of vpn/proxy, could be a neighbour. why firefox works would be because i assume they enabled DoH or DoT (DNS over TLS/HTTPS), which allows your browser to safely get the destination ip addresses without chance of someone returning bad DNS results. ideally, DoH and DoT would be done at system level, but windows is years behind on that front, and on linux its possible but not default nor easy.
or maybe it could just be wrong dns, again explained by the above with doh/dot but not due to man in the middle, just someone blocking access to the ip address.
- update
- fix clock and date
- try changing dns
- try with a (different) vpn
its Windows Firewall???
How????
I've never seen that before. Not only that app but but several like Bleachbit???
I need to talk to my internet provider.
