Help with Text Formatting

Greetings everyone! I've asked about this before, so this is kind of a second iteration. I'm working on a text-based game, and I'm concerned about how natural the text is. My English is good enough to be sure that the text conveys what it's supposed to, but I still have to use AI assistance.

I'm also curious about the color choices for text formatting. Plain white text feels a little boring, so I tried to make it more visually appealing. The highlighted key moments in light blue are meant to help players who might not like to read a lot. Does this approach make sense?

I'd appreciate any feedback!

I understand your reasoning. Do you feel that players don't read the dialogue thoroughly, or have you been told that?
I imagine members who play HTML games would read all the dialogue.
I don't like the different colors because they make me think there is something I'm missing because of the color change when, actually, there isn't.
One option is to shorten the dialogue if you are worried there's too much and the player might lose interest.

I'll be honest, the main reason is that I like colorful elements. Maybe it would be better to use more colored dialog and reduce the descriptive text by half and keep it plain white.
Does the text sometimes feel a bit too much? Should I cut back on some of the artistic touches?

highlighting a specific word or phrase can be used on occasion, but it should be used rarely because it makes you lose your flow when reading. you now not only have to understand what you're reading but also make sense of why the words are colored.

highlighting can be fine if it is a rule used consistently, like all dialogue is colored one way. then you quickly learn that's how it works and it will be easy to see at a glance what is dialogue and what is not, but the way you're doing it in your examples makes it taxing to read

Thanks! I've had doubts about this approach myself so that's settled. I'll try to find other ways to improve the visuals.

It would be great to hear the community's thoughts on the content of the text itself. Are there any issues with it, or ways it could be improved?

Here's another example of text in the game. It's worth mentioning that I don't assign specific colors to characters. This is an unusual choice, but since the game is a sandbox, a character's text color can change from one dialogue to the next. The only rule is that within a single dialogue, the color stays the same.
