Source: 101033, "I don't care if it's an old man or whatever because I'm not popular!", page 11.
Reverse image searched, but couldn't find any indication of source. Ended up just looking through all the watamote ones I could find with tomoko that were translated into english. The shit I put myself through for you people.
Anyways, uh... Game looks neat. I will play it at some point and change this into a review of it, if I get the time and motivation to do so.

THANK YOU TO OUR LOVELY PATREON MEMBERS FOR SUPPORTING OUR PROJECTS!
Our vision is to build this story together! With your feedback, we'll dive deeper into the plot and introduce new coworkers to this chaotic office. You call the shots — tell us who you want to meet, and we'll bring them to life!
Even though this is a new project, we plan to change everything and improve it with the help of community feedback.

Ugh...

My number one piece of advice to anyone looking to start a project is 'be authentic', and this just seems like their philosophy is to do the polar opposite. The dev should be the creative center, they should be the one controlling the narrative, telling the story and creating the experience they want to share. To abdicate that responsibility to a community poll is unconscionable. Why would I ever want to get invested in a game who's content is dictated by the herd?

Also just telling your audience right up front that you're here to chase trends and pander to said audience is the fastest way to lose any and all respect as an original creative. Again, you're telling us you're not here to be authentic, you're here to chase the almighty dollar. One of the critical advantages that smaller projects have is that they have the freedom to take risks and be authentic, because they don't have the massive overhead that is corporate management that drives them towards ever increasing profits. If I wanted a game made by people chasing money before all else, I'd take literally any random AAA game off the shelf.
