RPGM - Henteria Chronicles Ch. 3 : The Peacekeepers [Update 18] [N_taii]

This is a pretty damn excellent game! There are certain aspects done better than Henteria 2, so that is a great point. I honestly do not write many reviews, but I decided to pay back the Dev for making this awesome game!

*Non-Spoiler Review*

There are 4 intertwining routes and they are pretty good, well, the ones I enjoy are great.

1) Cyanna: My favorite so far, really good slowburn corruption
2) Haylen: I am not a fan of Milfs, but hotdamn is this route good!
3) Rose: This is where it rapidly declines in my point of view, not a fan of middle-aged fat bald men
4) Lily: Started off good, ended quickly when I fully checked out. Not a fan at all. Again, why does seem like every NTR needs a middle-aged to old man?

1) Leto: Pretty positive feelings, I honestly thought Noah was much cuter and more pleasant to look at. Leto sometimes has this face, that's just, strikes me the wrong way. Either way, I enjoy playing as him.
2) Side characters: I love them, they are either adorable or despicable, and I want more.

So far, no one holds a candle to Edwyr, but Brutus is coming close...

*Spoilers*

*Main Cast*
1) Cyanna: I freaking love Ulrod/Brutus. This is the classic best-friends-turned-accident-turned-forced-lovers story. Genuinely look forward to these scenes the most, because I love his model and as others have said on various platforms, Cyanna's voice actress went above and beyond with varied sounds.
2) Haylen: As I said before, I do not like milfs and cross-generation is eh for me (hence the next two), but hot damn do I love Jazon! I do not know why, but I freaking adore him. The duplicitous double standards, the conniving sexuality, the abject laziness. The whole mom/son thing is definitely not on any of my lists of kinks, but Jazon is just too fantastic to ignore! His sprite looks better than Leto's and that irks me in a way, though I also like it like that... Also, he needs to bang Sophie some more!
3) Rose: I found the beginning very intriguing, and against my own hopes, having read further into the guide, I convinced myself that Rose might have sex with strangers for the humiliation route. Apparently I misinterpreted and that is on me when it was Duke-centric. I should have known better, but... Ugh... Not my style in anyway, it got to the point where I am rapid clicking my way through it. I think the Duke is an interesting character, do not get me wrong, but I dislike almost everything about his sex scenes. I am genuinely considering turning off omniscient PoV when it comes to Rose, but I feel like I will miss out on some important lore...
4) Lily: First two hours of the game, I knew I was not going to like her much, especially when it came to the frequent mentioning of her child-like appearance. Look, this is fantasy and she's a young adult sprite, and I am fine with that. Just not my cup of tea, especially since her partner is in her words a 'magic old man'. I checked out after the dressing her up like a maid (more so like a doll...) and the subsequent spanking. If Haylen/Jazon is pushing my cross-gen boundries, and Rose/Duke definitely crosses it, Lily/Nazer is far off on the horizon never to be seen again.

*Secondary Cast*
1) Leto's Buddies: I love them. Plain and simple. I wish they had more scenes!
2) Brent/Alys: Also in love, Brent is so adorable and eager! He is probably my second favorite, or even favorite tertiary character!
3) Eddie: Interesting scenes, wish there was some more involvement with her around, but I do like her stuff.
4) Militia men: Alright, I have a damn petpeeve! Where the fuck is the dark-haired elf man?! He was my favorite ever since his 'my balls are so damn backed up' comment (totally nothing to do with my intense kink for balls... >->") and he just up and vanished with only one more scene in the whole time I played! Blue-hair is fun, red-hair is alright and I like how he was the first to convince sister guard to reinstate sexy times, the rest are overall good in my opinion.
5) Side stories: I like them, wish there was more content! I am eagerly awaiting!

*Misc*
1) Triple Trident: Fun, sometimes frustrating, but I enjoy the mechanic!
2) Sometimes the mouse-movement walking bugs out weird. Never really had that happen before in RPGMaker games. I click on a part of the map (imagine how a knight moves in chess, the L shape) and Leto decides to move sideways first instead of forward. I have gone in and out of rooms dozens of times more than I wanted to because he moves weirdly.
3) Lore: Pretty solid! I am invested and want to know more!
4) Typos: Not much throughout until about the 80% mark and then they start trickling up far more noticeably. I understand the newer builds are newer and typos get fixed as they come along. Not much of a bother, but just wanted to say so here.

*Overall*
Solid successor to the previous game! I await more, and plan on supporting the dev on Patreon after I post this! Thanks!

If you're a NTR fan, if you like good stories in sex games, this game is definitely for you. I thought that since it had only pixel art I wouldn't enjoy the game but the quality of the writing makes up for the lack of CG.
The characters are endearing and quite realistic (for an H Game). The corruption aspect is also top notch. Can't wait to see what's next !

Henteria Chronicles Ch. 3 is a pixel-art VN with a focus on NTR with deep characters.

To be completely honest, I couldn't bring myself to play all the way through it. It's because the story and the characters are good. You're introduced to the characters as children learning about their traumatic backstories, hope, dreams and personalities. It'd be downright heartwarming if we didn't have knowledge of what was coming. I just couldn't bring myself to watch the characters be used and abused.

I guess that just means it's a good NTR game. It gave me that nasty feeling in my gut where I feel like a degenerate for even looking at what I'm seeing. It's like staring at two trains running headlong into one another just to watch the explosion and destruction. You know it's awful, you know people are being hurt, but you just can't look away. Obviously this metaphor is much weaker since this is a game and no real people were harmed in its creation, but the game plays on your heartstrings enough to where it didn't matter to me.

It'd feel bad for four starring it if it weren't for the crashes. In my two to three hours of playtime I crashed twice losing fifteen to twenty minutes of playtime each crash. I wish i could help with a bug report, but it was seemingly random and did not repeat a second time. Crashes are a giant pain in the ass when I'm just going to be repeating exactly what I previously worked my way through.

Honestly, I feel like a lot of people will love the game, but ntr haters should stay away. I was hoping I could manage given that the pixel art is great, but overall the game was just too brutal in that regard.

The game is perfect in trems of story,game-play,ui,sex scenes and etc. The game is also not very grindy and hard. It gets straight to point. pls try it i promise it will never disappoint you. Developer is also a very kind and cool guy.

Probably spoilers ahead.

Story is too much for me. I know it's porn game and you need some world where all this is possible but this one is completely unbelievable. So we have: MC who seems to be pretty normal person somehow teleported to this degenerate world. Priestess foster parent who suddenly discovers sexuality after years of celibate, it's business as usual in this genre. Foster sister who is leader of guards who gets molested by new superior. It's not surprising because her subordinates are fucking whores in guardhouse while on duty so at such level of demoralisation it's not surprising. Next is redhead with still developing storyline but I guess someone will leverage her need for money to make her whore herself and then there's princess. So basically her parents rule country where people are fucking in every corner like rabbits and yet she pursues pure relationship with MC. Also she is past her teens, only pretended to throne yet is totally oblivious to scheming and politics happening behind her back.

There is also bunch of minor characters: maid who is coerced to have sex because she was saw once doing handjob to guard (once again: in country where guards are fucking whores during office hours), female guards (all of them) who discovered their true calling after mass rape, head wizard who switch sides and now is blowing villain's cock. Why? I didn't' care at that point.

Gameplay your standard is walking simulator. Enjoyed card game but other than this it's standard. Dev says it doesn't have fighting but it doesn't need it - dialogues drag forever so you don't need to pad length with fighting.


So to sum up plot: everyone except MC is rapist, every girl is innocent after first rape and then becomes whore, country seems to be completely degenerated and I can't imagine how can it still not collapse. It's not NTR, it's not corruption when everyone lives in environment like this.

[Update 2]

This is a dev that has full command of his story and characters. It's abundantly clear that the story was all mapped out. And what a treat this story is for fans of a certain type of NTR. This is following the classic Japanese style NTR formula, but with top notch execution.

The basic story structure of these types of NTR goes something like this.

1. Showing the backstory and relationship dynamics of the main characters through their normal day to day interactions before shit starts to go wrong.
2. Introduction of the antagonists and their machinations.
3. Corruption arc of the girls.
4. NTR reveal and the final act.

In my opinion, the entire thing really hinges on how well you establish that first act. The better you set up the stakes, relationships, and motivations, the bigger the payoff becomes when they eventually fall. Many NTR games skimp on this phase of the story, but not this dev.

This game, as well as the previous works by this dev, really emphasizes the first act. From childhood to maturity, we examine the characters and the bonds they form. We learn about their noble and respectable goals and motivations. We learn about their personality and the dynamics between them. We learn about the setting and the stakes.

Also, the dev makes use of literary devices that improves any story. Themes, foreshadowing, symbolism, tragic irony, etc etc. It's just a well constructed story.

The pacing is much better than the previous titles because the dev uses side characters (some of which are quite story relevant) to showcase early scenes before the proper corruption arcs of the main girls have time to take off. We can see some hot scenes, but it also works to set the tone of the grim reality of the setting and what's in store for the main girls down the line.

And as of the time of this writing, the set up phase for all the main girls are done and the true corruption arc is starting. Each girl has their own "NTR dude" who is crafted deliberately to give a unique spin to each of their arcs. These antagonists are designed in a way that would exploit the weaknesses of the specific girl or subvert the values they stand for.

Now some potential design choices that may put off some players.

1. No CG. There is portrait art for the main girls which can express a range of emotions, but no real CG scenes. It's all pixel art (which is surprisingly erotic, just give it a shot).
2. Mute MC. He talks in emojis lol. The NPCs will pick up on what he says and respond in a way that makes it clear to the players what was said by the MC.
3. Essentially linear progression of the story arcs. You won't see any branching routes until it's time for the ending. At the end of the game, the choices you've made will determine the ending sequence (good end, revenge end, NTR end).
4. That means, for the bulk of the story, the NTR is unavoidable. That's the point of story, really.

Scenes are animated pixels! Too few games use the animation of sprites to tell a story, and this game does it like one of the best.

The game is NTR where the main girls are slowly corrupted and stolen. This Dev understands the genre and does the pacing well. You can either have scenes play out right away or have them unlock in the recollection room so you can maintain only the knowledge of the MC until you are ready to see what goes on behind the curtain.

NO COMBAT!!! Thank god for that, I spend way too much time spamming enter in too many NTR games. The game plays like a VN for the main part which is awesome. Just explore around and discover the scenes and events.

And boy are there a ton of events, even in the current state of the game; not just the main girls but all the NPC out and about in town with subplots you can find.

I find myself scouring the town morning and night trying to see what's goin on like some nosy neighbor. (Wow that girl hated that guy, but now they are fuckin in the back alley, shit I must have missed a day) - And in that case, I can easily jump back a day. It's honestly one of my favorite features, the ability to choose what day it is so I can do what I want to do.

10/10 dev, and a 10/10 game

Looking to be another top notch game from N_taii. His style is right up my alley so 5/5 from me after having tried the demo. I'm very excited to see where the story in this one goes. He has ramped up the sex it seems and having two games under his belt by now, it shows that he has learned how to pace his games very well! A must play for any NTR fan!

The game is the third in a series and you should definitely look up the prior games. Not so much for the story (there's no meaningful continuation) but for the quality of the NTR experience. I can't state enough how this series ranks amongst the best Western style NTR, and ranks very highly against Japanese style NTR.

That said, if you are impatient, this game is the best offering yet. The art quality is higher, there are more characters, the writing is more streamlined, and the pacing is much improved. Most importantly, the potential is high for each character and the depravity they'll inevitably fall in.

Who should not play this game?

• Obviously people who don't enjoy NTR
• People who only want visual CG. The lewd is entirely described through pixel art, text, and audio. If that is OK, the writing is great.
• Impatient people, it will take a while for the main characters to corrupt and get into heavy kinks. These are usually 20+ hour games.

Everyone else should experience a 5/5 game

Over the course of the last 2 games N_taii has developed a simple yet effective scheme on which he builds upon. The games improve with each iteration, and so is the case with this one. If you're into NTR "clueless" MC games you DEFINITELY should keep a close eye on this one.

Would highly recommend solely based on this extensive demo.

This is a very good start to a great NTR RPGM game who manages to tell a story and create a solid worldbuilding with a much better pacing than HC2.


PROS:

Awesome pixel art, the upgrade from the other chapters is stunning.

Good overall writing.

The bonds the heroines have with each other and MC seems much stronger and more fleshed out than in the other chapters so we can expect one hell of a corruption progression.

CONS:

Considering the dev huge amount of work on this demo it kind of feels lacking regarding the initial corruption of the main cast since only one of them actually got a scene.

Art: Based on pixel art which blends perfectly with the story

Story: It's starting and it already loves it, it deserves to follow it until the end

Gameplay: No combat (seriously, it deserves an 11 for this) has been improved compared to HC1 and HC2. Simplified and more accessible and more adapted for the reader

Author: An entrepreneur, who follows this hard path and fills us with these great works listening to his audience with his great touch of humor

A work that will be excellent

Another excellent inclusion to this series. N_taii is seriously leagues above other games in the NTR genre.

Writing:
The key to the Hentaria Chronicles series's success is writing. A lot of the time, characters in this genre are written in a way that makes them unbelievable and they are put in situations that are far from reality. The women in this series's games are all unique from one another with distinct personalities and reactions to their surroundings. Above that the dread-filled situations they find themselves is not just believable but also extremely gripping and fun to read.

Art:
I mentioned this in my review of Hentaria Chronicles Ch.2 but I will say it again here. I have seen people complain that there is a lack of art and I see where they are coming from but I would really urge anyone interested in this game to take their time with it. I know anime boobs are great and all that but if you take the time to read what is happening and watch the pixel art scenes I find it far more impactful than anything full art could add to this game. It is a layer of leaving it to the imagination that adds, in my opinion, a lot to this genre.

Conclusion:
It is a must-play. If you enjoy NTR these games are like the Godfather or the Citizen Cane or the Come and See of this genre and I insist that if you haven't played it you have to!

Side Note to N_taii:
Keep up the good work man. With college all finished up I finally have a way to support your work and I hope you keep these games rolling out.

I come to realize that the ntr you present in the game is extremely sad, because you dont restrain yourself with just the female MCs becoming sluts or depraved womans, you convert the whole kingdom into depravacy, making the MC hopeless because he is the only one whos not fucking, that hurts so much, but i dont konw why i found it amusing, thats what makes you special, apart from having a extremely well written plot, and the art which is really god, i dont know i just hope you never stop making this kind of games

Public Demo Release

Gameplay
You mostly just walk around, triggers scenes, sit through conversations and watch cutscenes, but that's all you need for this genre. It is a lot of reading, so don't come expecting instant gratification. An improvement over the second game is the mission system that serves to guide you along quest steps, but you are still rewarded for exploring on your own.

Visuals
Better than its predecessor in every way, so far. The characters full body designs are noticibly improved, as are the faces, the actual pixel animinations and even the environment textures. The town you play in looks great!

Audio
Likewise, the music is great and the game retains and improves all those 'extra' audio sources to spice up scenes both hidden and visible. The clapping of flesh behind windows or doors, the creaking of beds, the breathy moans... it's all back, and sound better than before.

Story
As this is only the demo version, obviously not too much has been revealed. But similar to HC2, there's a fairly long introduction period to properly introduce you to the main character and demonstrates the start and development of your relationships with the main girls. It is worth absorbing though, because it'll give weight and importance to the back half of the game. This is not going to be a quick blast through.

Lewds
HC 2 was great at slow burn corruption and I can already tell HC3 is going to set an even higher standard on that front. The main girls are clearly going to go through a long and drawn out corruption process, but the dev has also made sure to intersperse faster paced stories throughout even the demo to keep the players interested. I wasn't sure how this was going to be used, but so far I can say it's great. I don't think I've seen a single lewd scene from the main girls yet, but have already seen a few regular girls reduced to somebody's cocksleeve.

Additionally, HC3 makes great use of silohuettes, to show you things without fully showing you things. I can't wait to see that used more as all the girls both main and side get drawn into their downfalls. I hope to see a lot more 'little clues' alluding to secret relations, like splashes of cum or spent, tossed condoms; tiny sprites that could be overlooked.

Overall, a very promising start and I can't wait for more content. But I'll end on this warning for newer players to the series; this is a very slow-paced, reading-intensive, story-heavy game. Yes, you get to see side-girls go through quick downfalls, but generally you shouldn't play this if you're expecting quick pay offs.

Great engaging story and character work. Very believable slow burn. Lots of content for a demo release. Hoping the first official release incorporates more misc SFX for some added variety. N_taii is a fantastic storyteller HC3 the is a more focused game than HC2 with the much more believable corruption on the girls with great lore and storytelling. The partial POV should be a staple feature, adding more mystery elements to the NTR. Look forward to future release of N_taii games and projects
