Exactly it comes down to content and consent but in a sexual manner. Femdom as a term is a pretty modern term, much the same as the acronym BDSM. But all definitions of femdom come down to being sexual and within the BDSM umbrella.

So given that, hether some folk want to accept it or not, the vast bulk of scenes within KG do not constitute femdom, one because most scenes are not sexual in nature and two because without consent, without explicit willingness to submit....there cannot be any femdom.

You've seen the arguments here I'm sure, as a practicing dominant for longer than the term BDSM has been around (and coincidentally I was taught by a dominatrix heh), I don't really need to prove anything to anyone here because as I repeatedly say, very little femdom with the exception of on the SecretSub route where Kane does have the opportunity to say no to Alessandra on numerous occasions. To also add, Master/Slave is what we see mostly in KG but even then, within BDSM, the slave has still explicitly consented to be treated as such. Is that what we see here? No, it isn't.

Perhaps some folk wish or think the term means something other than it's official and dictionary term...who knows but it is a hill I will very much die on

I imagine the revolution will be violent like you said and while it will (probably) have the effect of toppling the current regimes, we've learned from history that things don't always turn out better post revolution. Their world is slowly dying and if people can't get their shit together and let the smart people work (Cole, Veronica, Dominique to a lesser extent, Callista probably figures in somehow) things will just get worse and worse.
Personally I hope all the endings are some kind of grey because that's just how the world works.

She's not Tessa, but Tess. Just saying. As for Kane consent, no, it doesn't work that way. Once given consent to participate in an obscure rehab program with obscure conditions doesn't change anything. In fact, in the Sub route we have a slave and Master relationship where no one asks Kane what he wants.

Femdom is one part of the BDSM subculture, and it's as much a fact as the fact that day replaces night.
BDSM, in turn, is impossible without its immutable tenets of "safe, sane, and consensual." And it's not a one-time consent..The participant of any BDSM-session, in particular, the "bottom" (sub), can always stop the game with the sacramental word stop...

But on the slave track (Sub route), no one asks KaneSub for his consent, the sadists don't care about his opinion at all. That's the difference...And the fact that such an element of consent/disagreement is present only on the SS branch (which, let me remind you, Tess herself considers to be a real femdom), once again confirms the plain truth that any femdom, as well as maledom, is a priori an element of the BDSM subculture, which is associated with strict rules to which both sides of the game of power exchange must obey.

But since we have not "harmless roleplay BDSM games in the bedroom", but a harsh post-apocalyptic utopia, with a race of slaves and a race of Masters, it makes sense that consent is out of the question...And since that's the case, it's no longer femdom, but slavery.... (except for the SS route).

Of course, in today's world, in the buy-and-sell coordinate system, no one will bother, and it's easier for Tess to call the whole game completely femdom, and Patreon will agree with her. That said, everyone is well aware that this game is not about "femdom in a cozy bedroom or fake dungeon", but about a slave who can either grow above himself, defeat everyone, and become Caesar, owning a corporation (rank Z5) and half the world. Or this slave can refuse responsibility and, after going through a series of humiliating trials, try to reach a lower level (but still quite high Z1-Z2) and become a servant/assistant of his Mistress (or group of Mistresses) belonging to one faction or another. And remain obedient to someone else's will, a kind of "slave in a golden cage".

And even in my case, where I, as a Dom player, play exclusively my oute...even here there is no purely maledom, but rather a set of elaborate tasks designed to bring out Kane's leadership skills and sometime in the future allow him to become a full-fledged Master of all these sadistic elite bitches..

That's the harsh reality of this game. But I realize that for some people who don't want to think about terminology, it's easier (and safer) to call it femdom and forget about it.

And I'm not talking about Tess, who, being a practicing dominant herself, understands perfectly well that real femdom (as well as maledom) involves a lot of responsibility and the very real concern of the "Top"(Dom) for the "bottom" (sub), but about ordinary players, some of whom find it easier to use familiar terms (even if those terms are in fact completely contrary to what is in our game).

But if someone doesn't like this reality of Kane's disempowered slave and finds it easier to call it all femdom (for their own comfort), then who am I to stop them?

This is Goddess Raven, I would call her a true Dominatrix, hehe ...and at the same time, the protagonist (provided that playing as Luna (female human MC) you choose the BadAss Bitch (Dom) route, which is canonical in this game...There are 2 other routes, among which is the submissive route, but there are their own endings, sharply different from the canon...

Played this today, it was a little jank in places UI wise but overall I thought the story was great and got the Dark Queen ending.

Finally finished my first playthrough and I have to say its one of the best AVN I have ever played this game is almost as addicting as a drug I could not put it down because my mind just had so many questions and wanted to know about every mystery and the more I played the more questions I had and it was like a vicious cycle definitely 10 out of 10 game I cant wait for more.

My 2 cents on the femdom conversation that nobody asked for:

I feel like the consent requirement is a bit of a semantics argument personally. Domination (exercising power/control over others), in and of itself, doesn't require consent and I would certainly consider rape and sexual slavery as a form of maledom/femdom as they are literally sexual domination from a strictly definitional point-of-view. Of course BDSM subculture requires consent in the real world, as rape/sexual assault/slavery will get you thrown in jail or worse (unless you're rich). However, in a fantasy/fiction setting, that is a moot concern as you can just write around it. So I don't think its inaccurate the call KG a femdom game, even if you don't want to consider it a part of the BDSM subculture or consider the women dominatrixes.

On the sexual content side of things, I actually think KG does a better job than most other content with a femdom tag attached to it, both in games and IRL porn. One of my biggest annoyances with femdom labeled porn is that it is clearly created for a male audience, becuase there's little to no focus on the female/mistress getting sexual gratification (the irony). If I go to a porn website and type in femdom, I'm mostly going to get videos of pegging (not even with a double-ended dildo), trampling/foot fetish, or POV emasculation/humiliation/etc.. What I like about KG is that there's a heavy focus on the female characters actually getting off on their acts of domination, which is sorely lacking in a lot a femdom labeled content IMO. That is seemingly not important to the BDSM definition of femdom, but in the spirit of what female domination is supposed to represent in a sexual context, I feel it should be far more important than it appears to be from the content I've seen out there, but I'm clearly in the minority on this.

That all being said, I do think people have a tendency to get way too into the weeds of genre/tag definitions. It's like how with traditional games, some people are in a constant war about what is and isn't an RPG. When all is said and done, language is defined by common usage (literally=figuratively). I can understand why someone that is a part of the BDSM community wouldn't consider this to be femdom game but people overwhelmingly consider these types of games to be femdom, because they take the term literally, as stated in my first paragraph. Similarly, I've come to accept the fact that searching for femdom on a video porn site is generally not going to return the results I want, as those tend to be by and for the BDSM community and their interpertation of femdom.

Hi everyone!
For those of you that have had the chance to play the Test Version, I hope you are having fun! It was a lot of work for me especially that crazy last 20+ hour session, but I'm glad I got to deliver that version before Christmas!
I truly appreciate the comments/edits and other feedback I have gotten so far! This is definitely the best "feedback" group I have had since Episode 5 which was also really great for whatever reason!
So because I am trying to add three more scenes, I am going to be very busy this week working on the game...trying to get it from a Test Version to either Beta or Final depending how things go. This is my task list below:
1) Corrections/edits (constantly doing this, but already pretty far along)
2) Balancing flags/points and stuff relating to coding for future episodes (doing this now too)
3) One sub scene to add from Test Version (starting this Monday)
4) Two dom scenes to add from Test Version (wrote both scenes, will start renders likely after the sub scene, just depend which scene feels better to work on first)
5) Outro (this is almost done)
6) Intro slide (I lost a lot of my masks during my SSD crash, so not sure what I will do here, not critical to a release, just nice to do)
7) Anais preview intro (not my tasking, she is being given a chance to write a short intro about her future game but then I have to bring in my script/game afterwards)
8) Preview scene from TQA (her working title, this game takes place 220 years after the end of KG have to port it in my ending after the outro)(Steps 7 and 8 might not make a Beta Version but only Final if I want to get out a Beta faster. If I can skip a Beta and go right to Final in a good timeframe...I'll do that.)
Also...even if you played the Test Version I would recommend trying to save under the Final Version if possible. While I tried to make the saves all work properly, it is also possible I will tweak a few points and flags that impact Part 3. So I would hate for that kind of change to impact the next update. So just throwing that out there for everyone
I will likely update during the week on Discord as I progress -- I always try and get the next version out ASAP, but this time the three scenes are a bit more than normal updates so I anticipate a little bit of extra work and time to get it out.
I hope everyone has had and will have a wonderful holiday season leaving 2024 and going into 2025! I've still got a few days left here with visiting family too, so juggling a lot but don't worry...still making time to get the next version out!

Just caught another ditzy Kane moment

I just saw this and thought for awhile this same exact shit and had wondered how many others caught that also.... I mean it probably wouldn't have even been an hour, more like 20 freakin minutes pass and this so called son of such a genius who is praised for so many things and she made him do so many different extra task growing up..... I'm guessing picking up on very important details in conversations from his mom's previous bff Elena and that one huge detail missed he had just heard BOTH PARENTS STAYED/USED in that room and then very next scene that plays out. Funny though in this update Olivia said something about Elena mispoke or something along the lines of that to her right before Kane has to be told that Cole is his father and of course the slow moron still has nothing else going for himself or still not being able to figure out or even try to start placing all the things he has gotten nor picked up on any of the "IS" talk bout his mom being so great and quickly changed to "WAS" twice maybe more about his mom still being alive! Olivia was rightfully just bout to tell him but backed out which that would have been far best time before he learns that from another and confronts both Mommy and Olivia which could get ugly fast
