I've played the entirety of the Grisaia trilogy and loved it, Further than the blue sky, Sepai tears (that name is accurate holy FUCK) and dabbled a bit in if my heart has wings and baldrs gate. Due to Grisaia, I'm not against a years long common route, but I'd like to have some more engagement and choices than what Grisaia gave you, which was effectively a kinetic novel if not for you directly picking which girl you wanted and if you wanted the good or bad ending. Any recommendations? Hentai can be good, but I want an engaging story.

No games with zero sex however, and no games with NTR.

You might find interesting, even though there's not much of hentai (several scenes). An extremely replayable vn, with 3 main routes (Judge/Inquisitor/Rebel), choices on every step, and two hundreds of endings.

And as for some kinda-mustplay jap classics, The Devil On G String. But it's like Grisaia, not much of choices.

By the way, from your nickname, can I presume that you've already read Song Of Saya, this tiny masterpiece about the doomed romance with loli Cthulhu?

I have been avoiding song of saya like the plague as I did not know if I could handle it, lol. Maybe I should take the plunge.

I played song of saya. I now regret playing song of saya, at the same time, holy shit what a ride.

Well, that's , the creator of Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, Psycho-Pass, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, etc.
If you've enjoyed the ride of Saya-chan, you might find these vn-tragedies interesting as well.
What about other recs, on another note?
