Does anyone know how much iron ore/steel is in the Silfren Mine?
Likewise, how much gold and silver are in the Kahill Mine?
Wiki says it mines run out eventually; I'm curious about the ROI and wondering whether to staff them fully.

I can't give you numbers, but can suggest: to top up 1st mine with workers and add guards. Deplete it. Transfer workers (it is possible) and guards to another mine. Deplete it. Transfer workers and guards to Darkmere mill. Darkmere mill can be depleted also, but also you can grow new trees and cut them down again

You must NOT, in any case, exceed 75 slaves asigned to the Gold Mine, Steel Mine and Mill.

Both the steel mine and the gold mine would eventually deplete. You can move slaves from one to other, but at the end of the day, the only facility that would keep running it´s the Mill, and you can not put more that 75 slaves to work in it.

About depletion, in my current run I started fully manning the Mill (it´s the easiest/cheaper investment), and latter on, buy the golden mine and transfer all the workers to it, and when the Gold mine runs out, I have conquered the steel mine and transfer, again, all the workers to it. If you don´t sell wood and stockpile it you would have enough wood to sustain your workshops all the time needed to deplete both mines without need to buy wood at all.

Depletion of the mines it´s something that runs fast. Talking from the top of my head, I buy the gold Mine roughly when I Start helping Aria´s Rebellion and both were depleted (qith 75 workers) when I finished the Aria Quest. The turnout of the Gold mine it´s brutal. You get your money back, if you man it to the top, in a couple of weeks. The turnout of the steel mine it´s a lot less, but hey, it cost you no money at all...

In the gold mine it´s mandatory to build the smelter. If you don´t buy it, you get silver ore and Gold ore, and you must manually refine it at home. And for the amounts you get, it´s something just not doable.

I find that the gold mine depletes relatively quickly but both the mill and the steel mine take a LONG time to deplete. The steel mine in particular takes forever because production is pretty low. It doesn't produce enough steel to keep even 1 workshop supplied without having to augment it with buying steel from Aimees. The mill provides massive quantities of wood by contrast, probably enough to supply 4 or more workshops for an extended period of time.

The min maxer in me is hesitant to read books or do academy courses to gain those skills before I max out the capped versions of getting int and stuff. Is that unreasonable? It's so hard to raise the mental stats that I think it would take forever.

From a min/max standpoint yeah you definitely want to max out all of your stats to the training caps BEFORE you take any classes or read any books. Unfortunately Intelligence is probably the grindiest stat in the game so you won't be maxing that out for a LONG time unless you just start with it at or beyond the training caps (which is what I always do).

Academics is pretty easy to get to 80 via drinking at the Orient but I think getting it to 100 requires spending an unreasonable amount of time at the Historical Society. Science is easy to get to 50 via drinking at the Orient, but getting it to 100 pretty much requires F5 at Fury's or even longer at the Historical Society. For a no F5 game I would just stop at 80 academics and 50 science and call it good enough for the classes/books.

Kissing is the only other stat I find difficult to train, although bondage and flagellation are expensive. But with that being said even if you're being as efficient as possible and you don't bother with getting science and academics all the way to 100 you're probably not taking any classes or reading any books for about the first 6 months if you want to really get the most out of them.

I think it's just weird luck, as you say. I do a lot of kissing and my MC skill is up to 95 though can't remember what it was exactly at start, probably about 30-35. I'm on the last released version. I always go passionate with seduction and do multiple kissing actions before continuing on.
Yeah the only place in the game I have found that actually says it's doing a kissing skill check is right there and it only happens once per fuck. So far that's the only place MC has ever gained any skill for me and it seems like maybe a 5% chance? Not sure.

If you're kissing during seduction it never mentions a kissing skill check, and the girls do gain kissing skill but I have yet to gain any for MC that way. I'm almost positive MC used to be able to gain skill from that but I could be mistaken. Maybe there's a very low chance and I've just been unlucky. If so, it's either in the 1% range or I've been ridiculously unlucky and just never seen a single point in thousands of attempts. As far as I'm concerned if the chance is that low it might as well be zero.

Edit: I did finally see MC gain a point of kissing from kissing during seduction so I guess there is a nonzero chance for that but either I'm very unlucky or it's less than a 1% chance.

What's the best way to gain int? I'm looking at the wiki, but I can't decide what's the most efficient way that still allows me to do other things.

Also, I remember reading about some NPC that reveals some quest when you do dinner party with just them. But I can't remember who it was anymore. You know about this?

There really ISN'T a good way for MC to gain int that I know of. There's a less than 1% chance to gain Int up to a cap of 90 playing poker at Dockgraves. There's also probably somewhere around a 1% chance for MC to gain int by taking his wife to the cafe but only if she's equal to or smarter than MC and if she's smarter by more than a few points then the chance drops back down to zero again. So unless you're abusing the F out of F5, good luck with that... I believe the chance is also dramatically reduced unless MC has both Science and Academics skill at 90 or more. I tested that method a bit and decided even with max possible bonuses it's still grindy enough that it pretty much requires F5 or it's pointless. So I just start with 130 or more int.

If you start off with super low int, you do actually have a decent chance to gain a point of int for free just for sleeping but I think that caps pretty low. Maybe 40 or something?

As for the solo dinner parties I know that Bud and Michelle both have a short quest that kicks off that way. Not sure if there are additional people with an option like that now. I usually try to make it a point to get both of theirs done early or I forget about it or F it up in Michelle's case by waiting til she's corrupt enough that all she can think about is dick.

Edit: Now that I think about it I forgot 1 option for Int. You can cycle extravagant marriage/divorce and there's actually a somewhat decent chance for MC to gain a point of int that way (maybe 10-20% or something?) Problem is it's $25k per marriage so from the standpoint of an option that gives you a reasonable chance that doesn't rely on F5 it's basically your only option, but it'll cost you several million to boost your Int by a significant amount that way. That's probably the route I would go in a no F5 Rise From the Ashes start though.

For the people who do have the solo dinner quest option you should see an option like this when you have dinner with them and I believe it's less than a 100% chance but it's not super low.

How's Bondage and Flagellation expensive? Training it in your own bondage room will raise it at least to the same cap as Dockgrave (70), Flagellation can go even beyond that. Dockgrave odds are just better, IIRC.

Best way to gain Int is to start at 90 in character creation. Books + other various sources should push you well past 100.

There's more than 1 solo dinner mini-quest. Check the wiki for who and other requirements.

The chance is so low for bondage at home that I just train it to 70 at Dockgraves. Flagellation is a bit of an odd one since I have never gained a point at home unless my skill was already at or near 70 or more, but it's not that bad once you get to that point to grind out 120 at home. So yeah getting to 70/70 at Dockgraves is a minimum of about $90k if you use F5 to guarantee 100% chance and a lot more than that if you don't. Still a good deal IMO since late game nothing beats the dungeon for affection gains for the girls, but unless you start as an expert slaver there's not really a good way to max out bondage/flagellation quickly.

IIRC it's a 3% chance to gain a point of Flagellation at home, if you roll a 1, a 55 or a 69. Should be regardless of skill. Bondage is even easier, around 5% whenever you use Anal Hook, Nipple Clamps (or a gag?).

If you sell Aria, do you ever see her again? Like doing her service to the Spheremasters? I wouldn't continue with that run, but would be cool to see it before reloading.

Heh, that would explain my issue with bondage. I literally never use any of those. I have only ever gained bondage at home from rough petting during seduction. What do those other options cap at? 70? Do they go to 120 like Flagellation? Will have to try those other options. If it's a 5% chance that's not bad and could be worth using stuff I'm not really interested in for a few months.

You would think that the MC could simply fucking study in his library or something... Makes no sense from a realism AND gameplay perspective that you can't study to raise int similar to how you can work out to raise physical stats. Sure as hell would make more sense than raising int by talking to your wife or some shit lol.

And tbh, it makes no sense that MC can't be educated like the NPCs. It could be a time using action if you have an educator.

You CAN "study books" in your library. There are seven stages available and IIRC they give things like INT and Occult points. Takes a while, just like reading skill books, and again IIRC lower rewards, but something to do in the early morning hours if you don't want to weave cloth.

BTW, is the workshop ever going to be able to weave scrap cloth like it can do scrap metal and circuit boards?
