Introduction
Hello! My name is Dotonbori Technologies, and I am working on my first game: Mystic Isle!

Vision and story
I aim to bring you a satisfying visual novel with simple sandbox mechanics. Story progression needs to be easy, I will not waste your time. The story will be simple and filled with humor and the hentai scenes you unlock will make you fap.

The story is simple:

You play as Saki, a female game developer. She is tasked with updating an old game, so that it will run on newer devices. However, when she runs it, she accidentally summons a creature who calls her "The Chosen One". He will take her to Mystic Isle, where she is regarded to be the next "Chosen One". During her time at Mystic Isle, Saki will meet many characters and the player will unlock many hentai scenes!

Every character in the game is older than 21 years.

I will try to release a demo at the start of December. The current build is playable, but it has a few bugs.

Let me know if you want to try it out, I will provide you with a link. I love honest feedback, since it will provide me with a way to improve the game!

Thank you very much for your comment! I don't have a definitive logo/style yet, so I went for a more clean and simplistic look. But I understand what you mean, it would be nice to have a more fantasy/medieval/mysterious look. I will work on that when I finish the demo!

Good news, my programmer was available a lot sooner than I thought, and fixed the bug! I might bring out the demo sooner than I thought. The bug was that some of the main menu buttons were visible in the pause menu, they were in the way of the save screen.

But the programmer fixed it! I love her.

I uploaded the first demo of the game via WeTransfer. My personal opinion is that the writing is bad (I am responsible for it, haha), but I will stay positive - at least I try to make a game! I will learn a lot as I go. Please provide me with feedback, so that I can improve.

Hi there! I played the demo, and while I wished it was a bit longer, it’s a great introduction.

Review so far :

- Writing could use some polishing. ( I'm no expert in this area. LOL)
- Interaction with Grollo (mc shirt suddenly become dry?).
- Enhance character expressions for more depth.

+ Great artwork.
+ The dialogue is engaging and humorous.
+ The plot is strange but uniquely intriguing.

hi i played the demo and i like the general goofy vibe,
i think it could be presented better if there are BG music thru out,
and the darkening text BG is blocking some of the art, so might be a good idea to tweak a bit
there are some dialouge with black screen only, feels a bit weird,
maybe you could use saki's portrait picture or sth as placeholder?
overall nice work

I completely agree. Writing is not my strongest point, but that's why I make this game, so that I can improve it. And you are also right about the dry shirt after Grollo fully appears, I will add some dialogue for that to make it less awkward.

Awesome that you enjoy the art! The artist is expensive, but he's worth every cent, because he delivers excellent hentai content. And yes, I wanted to create something unique, I love the fact that you enjoy reading the dialogue. Thank you so much!

I am indeed planning on adding some background music, I want to have some chill, soft music that fits the game.

I will ask my programmer if the dialogue box can be removed, but the text should always be readable. Maybe add white text with a black border, so that the contrast is high enough to make the text readable.

Maybe I will add her sprite during these empty scenes.

I commission two people to work for me: an artist, and a programmer. The programmer will be important when we move further into the game, and need sandbox elements. I write the story and dialogue, and also do project management to ensure the artist and programmer have things to do and keep track of assets/game functionality. It does cost a lot, but it's money I am prepared to lose. Of course I want to have my investment back at some time, but to be able to do that, I should have a solid game that people enjoy to play.

Created a new version with the help of player feedback.

• Textbox is now transparent
• Added some dialogue to address Saki's wet shirt being dry

The textbox change is nice, there's so much more room for hentai scenes! Nothing is blocked anymore. The new version can be found here:
