Hey everyone,

Figured I'd finally introduce myself since I’ve been lurking for a while. I’m SageWorks, and I recently put together a game called Story of Star. It’s my first real step into game development, and man, it’s been a ride—balancing systems, fixing one thing just to break another, and generally figuring things out as I go. Definitely gave me a new appreciation for how much goes into making a game actually fun to play.

SOS is built using twine and I've added unique systems where dialogue flows dynamically, where encounters aren’t always the same, and where little decisions can ripple into something bigger. It’s still a work in progress, but the core is there.

Outside of this, I mess around with coding, AI, and web development. This game is probably the most ambitious project I’ve taken on, and whether it blows up or just finds a small, niche audience, I’m happy I finished something.

That said, I do want to keep expanding it if people are into it so I hope it does garner up some sort of support base.

Anyway, I’m always open to feedback, ideas, and just chatting about game design in general. Looking forward to seeing what this community thinks.

Cheers,

Making games is tough, especially as one-man army. But it's very rewarding to see people enjoying the stuff you make. Welcome and good luck!

A couple people have said they like the game already so I'm pleased! At first i thought it would be a week of coding. Damn near a month later pulling late nights and I was ready to cry XD

Oh yeah, coding is hard. Took me a month to make a barebones platformer scroller. Then you also need to make graphics, plot, maybe even music... So lots of respect to the guys who can actually pull this off and release their game
