DanGames games are always hit or miss I feel like, looking forward to this one as renders look good.

3D Game is for games where everything is rendered in real-time as opposed to 3DCG which are pre-rendered pictures that are displayed within the game.
It's also not a 3D game because it's still operating only in two dimensions - left/right, up/down.
