Why is the Unity platform used?

It's obvious the creator or creators of this game has artistic skills and are creative, but for god's sake why choose a platform that sucks!?!?

I urge game developers to pick a platform that is actually playable. Uninstalled because of Unity's f*cked UI. My god what a waste of talent....
