If you also have my mod installed (Hand Holder), then the incest patch will not work.

tbh with the game not being updated since july of last year, i would think they would keep going instead of making a whole new game

Part 1 is finished, there is nothing to update anymore when it comes to the story. Also the new game is a direct sequel.
So not sure why you are complaining.
