I am currently developing a story driven xianxia inspired adult visual novel, set in a fictional fantastical world based on ancient China and drawing from history and mythology from the rest of the world as well.

The story will feature an compelling plot with complex characters and political intrigue. Almost every dialogue option you select is designed to have some sort of impact in the future in a complex system of relationship approval and political reputation. There will also be a quasi-magic system in the form of qi that will be fully incorporated into conversations and encounters.
Part of the narrative is gathering 5 champions from around the world (this idea was born to give people variety), which are mostly reflected in the main heroines, but otherwise the world is very much set in an amalgamation of various periods in imperial Chinese history. Some brief teasers for the 6 main heroines, most of them (very) loosely based on pre-existing historical figures or fictional characters:
