I think it was a good chapter, the story was getting a little bit stale, since the progression of the story is tied to Elyon, they using that as a plot point to advance it was a good call. This reminds me of the update that Rick gets a chain of heart after the events in the castle and the dungeon. It was good and necessary.

You can click 'Start' in the main menu and select 'Start from new content 0.22'. Then you will be asked 'is nigel still alive?', select 'No'. After that you need to lose to Daniel in a fight. That way you will get scene 301.

We might need a new gallery mod that unlocks the scene replays as well. The current mod only unlocks the CG's, and it's most likely going to take people a lot of backtracking.

The art is very pretty, and I LOVE a corruption game, but the writing is .... quite weak. One animation per sex scene is more than enough, but the dialogue and descriptive wording are pretty weak, especially in the first half of the game. Words are pretty cheap to produce (they only cost time), I wish the dev would develop that side of Witch Hunter more, cause overall the game is better than 90% of the drek on this site.

MC grap a pistol. Shot a bunch of baddies. But in the next fight it is a revolver with significally lower rate of fire. what the fuck?

It is much worse. Before the fight mc witnessing a scene with blindfolded judge. In the fight he won't transform "coz i can comromise myself" WUT?!
Then he get shot a few times ant ONLY THEN he can see that judge is BLINDFOLDED. Who wrote this shit? 5y.o. anime fan?

Scenario wise - this is piece of shit, written by the drunkard after reading some AI generated lines. At best. At worst - I dont want to say what I think about this crap coz previous versions was good.
Scene have no actual connections between them. The beginning of the story does not lead to the end, and the end does not follow from previous events . I dunno who wrote that crap, but it is totally diffrent from the story in the previous parts of the game. Instead of common sense we now have patrons characters. Horray. Hope next one will be alien girl from anothe univers and she kills everyone on sight, coz this is shit. And then after 5 years of drawing murder scenes mc just wake up and be like "oh, that was just a dream".

Now to clarify: i have no problem with anyone getting the game here but some people could stand being a bit more polite when criticizing the developers they don't necessarily pay.

I was very pissed that there was no content with the main girls, which is my most pushing source of interest in this game while i am a fan of w.i.t.c.h., but then I went and tried to walk the extra mile and try to look over that (due to scrippt needs any update could have a different route with less interaction with your favourite gals so that is a possibility) and I said ok, let´s make a cold analisis:
well, when I was doing so is when I have gotten trully concerned, and I mean, I am not pissed, I am not angry, I am not whinning now, I am just concerned, this is how I view it: they are introducing a whole "heatherfield is gotham now" which adds another line of pot to the whole thing but there is the problem, for an erogame, and for the sakes of the script, it got to the perfect place in the previous chapter, now he has to change his ways and get his objectives by consensus and treating well the girls, that was a whole new layer of complexity, added to the fact that they were going to need to carry a rebelion while stagging as they were being whored in meridian´s tabern... isn´t that complex enough? I think we were where we all wanted to be, while it is a trainer game of the witch girls, they didn´t need a filler chapter, and less to introduce all this, they could have simply developed the previous new dinamic, they are just going nowhere. for all I know they could announce they abandon the project at any moment now, mark my words, we are never getting content of the girls being whored in meridian, don´t ask why I know.

and other thought, in the case they are putting heather field in dissaray so there can be actuall whoring shenannigans in the human world, well, that would be sad... having them as posing as slaves in meridian was perfect, giving us a more fantastic-oniric fashioned touch to the whole slavegirl which suited magical girl just so well, it was perfect, they would still have their things going normaly in the human world, then stage being sexslaves in meridian´s fantastic-classical setting... everything was there in place... such a pity. we are all getting blueballed, mark my words.

You know, honestly, your previous post seemed harsh to me, but now I understand your concern. We all get angry sometimes when we are disappointed in something we like. In one of my previous posts, I compared this update to version 0.17 for a reason, and I really have some thoughts on that as well.
If you remember, update 0.17 came out after Cedrick's defeat in the battle with Irma and Tarani, after that there was a battle with the Morpion King and so on. At that time, we also did not receive content with the main girls, but only with secondary characters. In addition, the plot was not canon for the original cartoon. But after that, the story got better and Cedrick's character finally stopped being just a rapist asshole.
What follows is just my theory and reasoning, but it follows from one particular fact. Once upon a time, around version 0.12, a new writer was hired. And at that point in the story, Cedrick had already fucked all the girls except Will and Elyon. What kind of arc did we end up getting with Will? One of the best, I think. I mean, the writer was clearly working with these characters who ended up being untouched because with the other witches, let's just say the work was already done for him. And then we got Cedrick's redemption arc. And this was not done using the canonical plot. But it got better. And I think the same work is going on right now. Only now it's not Cedrick that's being destroyed, it's all of Heatherfield.
At least it seems to me that something in the story is being broken, but they are doing it in order to correct past mistakes and make the plot better. Although sometimes it seems unexpected, harsh and rude, I find it difficult to argue with that. But, let's hope that in the end this will allow the story to unfold in a direction that did not work out before.
I personally still miss developing relationships with other witches on the same level as I did with Will. And I want to believe that such changes in the plot were made precisely for this purpose.

The update is indeed badly rewritten chapter from some other game that has nothing to with witch cartoon. it barely has anything to do with the witch girls and consequently barely contributes to the game.

firstly, you are right, I was just pissed at the moment, and I apologize to you because of giving such a harsh first approach, but still I see you can see I was still making a fair point, while I care about this project, but that is my point, I am also sicere about it if I make a critic.
I am just saying, they have enough on their plate as it was at the moment... and in the case this game gets actually to continue, that is, may it land some morsel, if even for sakes of teasing the stuff I feel we are never to get. I am not asking at this rate to see 5 scenes of Will falling in love with phobos after becoming a mindless sextoy through being rammed by docens of orcs... but you know... SOMETHING. just something coherent enough to what has happened till now, and which could feel like it´s not all just smoke and mirrors getting actually never nowhere. I do not want to sound harsh, by any means, but listen to me, we are getting not even the tease of it, mark my words.
it´s a perennial cliffhanger, some people tell allways the same joke, I´d say it must be addictive.

I player through 0.21 in one go. There was some stupid things, some inconsistencies and contradictions, but is was okay for such project. But 0.22 is different. That is a total mess from ANY perspective. Time contradictions, logical contradictions, general illogicality of the characters’ actions, idiocy at the level of children’s essays, where adjacent paragraphs contradict each other, and half a page later events are described completely differently. This is not even close to the level of the previous story.
A-a-nd don't forget the artstyle magick - some chars changed their appearance with no reasons.
I suspect, there is AI crap involved. And thats bad news, coz story is basically just a text, it the cheapest part of the game. If they try to use AI for the easiest part, I have doubts about their adequacy.
