Hello, developers of F95! I come to you with a most ridiculous problem and an even more silly potential solution. I'd like your opinions on it, if you have the time.
I've found this website just recently and fell in love with it. There's a lot of options and many games of varying quality to try out on particularly free days, more than I ever imagined. Through here, I've even found fetishes and genres that speak to me the most - battlefuck and wrestling types of games, specifically. But I'm also much saddened by how many of these games are barely even... games. Some feel more like glorified galleries while others have little to no depth, which is probably perfectly fine for most of you. But I feel confident in my coding and 3D art skills enough to where I think I can give back to this community by making a free game with some actual depth behind the combat (think Urban Reign but with sex grapples on top). Thing is, I can handle combat and grapple animations, but, ironically enough, I don't feel confident in animating sex scenes (maybe something like groping at best).
The original plan was to make a fun, good-looking combat system with smooth, non-robotic attacks that was playable, then show it off here and ask for a collab with someone to develop the sex animations or to reuse ones they've already made onto my rigs. Here's the kicker: my starting budget would be 0$, maybe 30-40$ at best.
The question is: Would this idea be feasible, or just naive?
My assumption is that porn games are already more niche than more standard ones, which makes me guess that 90% of devs here are hoping for some kind of payday eventually, a problem compounded by my (seemingly) even more niche genre of battlefuck/wrestling. Thus, it makes me doubt that many (if any) would want to spend time animating forceful sex scenes for a free game when the only thing I could promise is passion for the project and maybe money AFTER the game is released and generates revenue through optional patreon (or the like) donations.
