You wake up to the annoying noise of your alarm. Another Tuesday. Work, coffee, meetings, nothing new, right? But then you turn your head.

She's there, still wrapped in the sheets, eyes just opening. That smile melts the monotony of life. Sexy and effortlessly cute, she makes the mundane feel like a dream you don’t want to end. How did you get this lucky? How did she choose you?

Good morning, guys. Thanks for all the support so far. :D

I genuinely believe our game has more creativity, wit, and depravity than any DAZ3D game you can name. I built the framework from scratch, starting with a blank HTML page, eventually replicating Renpy's signature visual style and even developing tools to translate custom renpy script.

Your argument is not just wrong... it's completely unneeded. This is all fapping material, after all.
I didn't find any Engine you devolped yourself or are are the Creator of or ?

P.s.: Maybe you want to look into the TypeScript Version of RenJs, it is much faster:

He didn't hes trying to make himself look good by saying he is making his system from scratch cause he is doing something in html+javascript when he could skip all that and just use an already existing and developed framework. He's doing it cause he wants to try and paywall his shit. But instead he wants to waste his time making his own "paywalled" shit that won't even prevent people bypassing it anyways. He could be on "blunder #5" by now if he just went with renpy or renjs like you suggested.

If he was doing this as a learning project it would make sense but instead he's doing it to cash grab it seems. This isn't the quality of work you would paywall if it was a learning project.

I'm the creator of RenJSₗᵢₜ.

It's not an engine... just a simple web page that relies on global Javascript functions I call labels. These labels primarily return strings inside backticks, which are processed by string manipulators to generate a sequence of steps. Each step can be a line of text, optionally paired with a character name, an image/video, a function, or all three. Steps can also contain an array of label names, allowing for player choices in the visual novel.

I originally developed RenJSₗᵢₜ for my project CMD/CTRL Sex, an idle card-collector and sandbox game with a scrolling, Twine-like display for scenes. However, the project's ambitious nature quickly turned into a nightmare. To support development, I released a visual novel, "You forget so easily." While working on it, I improved CMD/CTRL Sex's framework to include text-messaging sequences with time delays and later refined the scrolling display into something closer to Renpy.

I also built the RenJSₗᵢₜ VSCode extension, which lets me jump between labels with CTRL, detect errors in double-quoted dialogues, and colorize character names in the script.

Sure, I could've used an existing tool like Renpy or LunaFromTheMoon's framework, but building my own tools means I have zero limitations on how I use them.

You can check the game's code in the files other forum users uploaded above. Unlike the advanced frameworks you mentioned, mine runs directly from the HTML document, no local host required.

OK, umm first of all you already contradicted your claim of creating renjs.
"Sure, I could've used an existing tool like Renpy or LunaFromTheMoon's framework", LunaFromTheMoon is the creator of renjs.

Secondly, literally no results for either of those two games you say you made. " I released a visual novel, "You forget so easily."" nothing comes up for this yet you say you released it.

Third there is no results for a renjs VSCode extension only the official renpy extension which is maintained and contributed to by many people.

Not sure what your angle is here but you're going to need to show some actual proof to have any credibility in what you are claiming.

I never claimed to have created Luna's framework or PhaserJS.

I built RenJSₗᵢₜ from scratch.

So your using the renjs name for your own stuff. I'd be interested in seeing what Lunafromthemoon thinks of that. It's a mockery of what lunafromthemoon has developed.

Edit: Finally found your github
Yet you have no code claiming a delayed access release and having to once again pay to subscribe to your patreon. So nobody can see if it actually is from scratch or modifying renjs which is under an MIT license and would require the original copyright notice and license terms to be included. Regardless using another developers project name in your own even if it is all your own code seems quite despicable. Also trademark can still be applied under MIT license if challenged.

oh i see, RenJSₗᵢₜ that you use is different from RenJS itself.
is there a reason why you used RenJS name, like is it a fork?

disclaimer, im just a curious programmer here, also using PhaserJS, but custom framework.

im also inclined to say im doing it from scratch even though there's the engine, and vite, electron. because even with all those toolings, it has zero to put forward in terms of how to structure your game, in a way.

tbf we can be misunderstood. while PhaserJS itself is an engine, it does not put forward its own structured framework on how to organize your files, scenes, whatever.

Is there a way to look at the CGs without playing the game? I never play any games here before I can extract the files and see how much content it has.

Okay. After a short code review, I believe that you developed this yourself. But why the same name RenJs?

PS: There are a lot of code smells and anti-patterns in the code. You have duplicate functions, inconsistent naming, empty functions, commented out code, magic strings, bad default parameters and missing error handling.

The very long functions and your deep nesting increase the cyclomatic complexity enormously.
You should refactor your code and remove this issues before further development.

PSS: If you like some pointers and how to fix them just ask.

The name made sense because I was trying to imitate RenPy using JavaScript instead of Python. I didn't know the name was already in use. When I released YFE, I found out there were two other projects named RenJS, one by the team in blockchain and the other you linked .

As far as I know, neither Ren nor LunaFromTheMoon have trademarked the name.

I created an MIT license for RenJSₗᵢₜ on my and uploaded the JS code for the entire project (minus the porn script). The VSCode extension and its source code are also available there.

So your telling me that you didn't do a quick Google search for renjs which has been around for the better part of 4 years now and is well established. You also put your "lit" in sub and small font size to make it harder to notice? Yeah, ok. Plus you just now put up source code after I called you out on it when you were using the guise of delayed access to make people sub to your patreon. There is also a thing called common law trademark which I think renjs would have a very strong case since it's been around since 2021. Everything about your whole thing has been shady thus far.
