That doesn't necessarily mean anything. People have shared common interests plenty of times but, when involved in the day to day maintennance of a relationship, wind up splitting apart. Shared common interests is generally a female fantasy that, unfortunately when they get it, bores them out of their minds. Besides, how can they share life interests when Sophia's about twice his age? You're just in your feelings.
