This theory is not new. Based on some of Sam's scenes and sentences, I had also assumed that Sam wasn't being honest with Sophia.
But L&P made it clear a long time ago that Sam really does have feelings for Sophia.
So you can attribute his behavior, which often seems borderline, to his inexperience and youth.
Nevertheless, I still think Sam's behavior and opinions are often almost unbearable. If L&P Sophia had contradicted Sam in one or two cases or pointed out to him that he was completely wrong, he would be more sympathetic to me.

Your forgetting Sam's age . At that age goals are

L& P needs to dial his personality back to when Sam was telling DYLAN, after both seeing her ( Sophia ) accidentally in the ----red corset and stockings--- and SAMS reaction to Dylan ' that your MOM is hot, nice ass , a real MILF,'. ...even tho Dylan was getting pissed, Sam kept talking shit about his mom being A hottie.
And then again in a latter episode THE SWIM LESSONS, Sofia got pulled in the water and T-SHIRT was transparent....as she went to the house SAM was talking again about what a MILF -- DYLANS MOM was.
To me those two episodes opened DYLANS EYES . By his comments Dylan became obsessed with SOPHIA.
L& P needs to reassert the OLD Sam. HE used to be my favorite dude.
Dylan's (sexual) imprint on his mother dates back to his childhood. See the conversations in the bathtub scenes.
The fact that Dylan only becomes fixated on his mother through Sam's comments is actually impossible.
For me, this aggressive denial of seeing his mother as a sexual being when Sam points it out to him was just an avoidance strategy to deal with his feelings.
If that was L&P's intention at all.

DISAGREE . BUT your opinion is interesting..... nonetheless, this the only GAME like this, AS most porn artists are to quick to the gratuitous fuck scenes. Avoiding characters set-up thru a lot of renders and dialogue. ..
I DO NOT MEAN those that use the L& P template (CHARACTERS)....THEY ARE APPRECIATED !!!
....every character here IS distinct ( mostly ).. although, Darnell, Amber, DeShaun, Vicki, Zac, and Andre need to be flushed out more.... with more dialogue.
AND ...Natalie the maid, and Zacs Mom, Alyssa are underutilized hotties.

This event was roughly where my very first playthrough ended, the last time I liked this VN and then moment I knew something was fishy with this dev.i remember Liam Neil Sophia were watching a football game way way way in one of the early chapters she was drunk so Neil got a little
Neil actually drugged the drink, IIRC. She and Liam drink it and Sophia drinks much more than Liam, in fact. Liam passes out from whatever this potent drink was and Sophia goes upstairs because she is feeling dizzy.
Liam passes out from the drink/drug so Neil takes that as his moment to go to Sophia.
Except Sophia sobers-up in a second. Somehow she consumed more of this drink than Liam and Liam is out cold. Sophia? Sobers herself in a split second. Not only that, Neil admits he drugged her, apologizes, professes his love for her and leaves lmao.
This scene is when I knew for sure that this VN was in trouble and the dev was a terrible writer. It makes zero sense. None.

Sophia drank 2 glasses.
The drug wasn't meant to make her pass out. but "loosen her up a little bit".
Neil drugged her drink.
There's absolutely no hint that Liam drank less than Sophia. On the contrary, Neil expected him to "passed out, as usual, after a night of drink" and Liam thought that "he drank a little too much".
BTW he didn't passed out but "had a headache".
Sophia's reaction to being drugged... yeah, a bit too easy.
Oh, ok. It has been years ago for me at this point. He had a headache that incapacitated him to the degree that his buddy could sneak off and try to fuck his wife, lol.
I think we generally agree here so I'm not arguing but, like with so many issues with this devs writing, not putting them in that situation would help.
If Neil doesn't drug anything it works. He comes over for the big game, drinks are had, Liam drinks a bit too much (cliche but fine), Sophia is also drunk and excuses herself, Neil takes the opportunity to go see what he can make happen with Sophia and Sophia is still sober enough to turn him down.
Like, the drugging is just to add needless and worthless tension that only hurts the story's believability. Just make it a typical scene of a guy trying to take advantage of a woman he has held feelings for. It happens all the time IRL. He fails, he has to cover his ass so he apologizes profusely and they move on.
Instead, Sophia has to forgive him for drugging her lol. It's insane.
I would find it highly entertaining if Neil tried this 'drugging' prank again this night, and as he and Liam are compelled to take the overly drunk Mr. Harris safely home Dylan receives the heavy attention from Sophia that Neil hoped for. My reply is not meant to be predictive, but rather set a scenario that I would personally find funny and ironically rewarding.
