Correct. This could be a really interesting angle. If L&P does it right, could open a whole new path to the story, not just small steps which leads to nowhere. But it has to progress quickly, not take years else its useless in my opinion.
I can see this outfit working if the game was based on the beach in say Brazil with their freer more open accepting culture. But I maintain that Sophia and Liam as middle class american parents would find this style of dress unacceptable for their daughter to wear generally in public on a residential street and in the city. The pose and dress are too provocative and to me not in keeping with the Ellie as so far developed. She appears to be trying to sell herself.
If it's hot outside American girls put on dental floss as outfits and walk around like that.
