how do you get the demon queen ending?

Triggered this one by speaking to some slime in the bar in the abandoned town, who mentions some portal on the island.
Leave the town by going right, then go up to the tower. The portal should just be sitting there, waiting for you to interact with it.
However, it didn't seem like an ending to me, as the game let me continue about my day, after the cutscene ended.
Also, this only happened after I got the mother pregnant.
