Ren'Py - Agent17 [v0.25.8] [HEXATAIL]

A really enjoyable experience. There is already a ton of content and the events are hot, the girls are cute.
The agent system is original, as you have a secret agent at your beck and call to intimidate, spy on, capture, beat up people. He can find dirt you can use to blackmail people and many things like this.

I find many of the complaints in the reviews invalid.
"This is the grindiest game" no it's not, it's actually not grindy at all.
The positions of the girls are shown of on the map, the prerequisites to trigger events are clear, and you can progress with at least a girl every single day if you prepare the right ressources, which are quite easy to get. Doing the exact same thing does not even give you a reward. Everything is a single event. Even things you have to do multiple times are single events, like go get coffee for a hot girl to not get beaten up. Because its never the same event, the first time you get coffee, the second time you spit in the coffee, the third time you cum in the coffee, the next time you'll put sleeping pills in. There is no "do the exact same thing X times to unlock things". Each time it's unique, unless you have not unlocked the next step then you get the same stuff but it's not a prerequisite to progress, it's just there if you want to redo the scene. The prerequisites to progress are always given to you, and they are a chain of single events as well. It's actually quite will done.

Another review keeps saying the MC is a scumbag like it's a bad thing.
Yeah the MC is not a good dude and the game assumes it. You will have people beaten if you want, you will kidnap, blackmail and rape. So why would the MC being a scumbag, given those are the fetishes included in the game, be a bad thing? It's not and it's actually pretty good.

A couple of reviews say there is no content... Really? I just spend a few hours playing the game, progressed with many girls, and I have still a lot to go through. I mean, have those people even played the game? I just don't know.

The game is not perfect however. The english can go from standard to quite cringy or barely understandable at times. I am not sure why it fluctuates so much.
And I lost more than an hour of gameplay because the saves glitched. All my saves past a certain point did not properly save and bring me back me to a particular point in the game that was quite a while ago and I am not sure why... A little frustrating because I did so much stuff since then.
Anyways, if you expect vanilla stuff this is not for you. The game is darker than the average it doesn't go far enough for me, but it might be too much for some.

Agent17 [v0.14.3] - Review -
This is the one of the Grindiest and worst Sandbox that I have played , talk to the girls in school , free roam and go home , watch Tv and harass girls in their sleep and repeat it . MC is just a creep and a mega idiot who can have sex only by harassing girls . First thing MC ask her sister is to touch her and to buy candies and molest her in sleep .And the quests in this game are dumb and mini games are annoying to play . I deleted the game after the grind becomes unbearable seems like whole game is the same with no story , only harassment and grinding .
So in the end creepy MC with no personality and harassing girls for fun and the Grinding Sandbox makes this game totally worthless .

Hidden jewel!
Absolutely fantastic game that at the beginning doesn't look like a much but is quick to show that it is worth it. Sex scenes like entire game is based on Honey Select (2?) but this is one of those few examples when that is used to game advantage. There is care and quality to every scene, character and you just feel it. There is some grind in there but it is not strong and above all it is one of very few games where I actually enjoyed mini games. They are so simple, yet give me so much fun Strong points are for sure writing and lot of kinky behavior from MC who exploit everyone around but without bad character vibe. Pretty chilling game play, lot of content with remark that actual penetration was temporary removed as they are remaking that part right now.

to summarize:
graphics 4/5 (HS engine but extremely well executed, quality is there)
story 4/5 - overall it is just unfolding but i enjoy it spirit
dialogs 4/5 - well written and strengthen game experience
MC - very naughty MC but not stupid/simple/vengeful/evil in any way
development - 5/5 there are all elements of nice game, lot of characters, well designed mechanics, room and hints about content. DEV is reacting to players feedback and from what I see he is communicating a lot.

Based on this game if not for something totally life-releted I see this DEV (team?) making a name for himself and being able to give life to a lot of projects in the future.

It's an interesting concept with a corruption theme, which while it isn't my style I can tell others may get more mileage out of. Lot of complaints on the writing which I think beyond some spelling/translation errors isn't that bad; especially when we're comparing it to other f95 games here.

The UI is really good and the Minigames are really unique, at first. But I think it could benefit from either less grind or more details that could add some depth. You're gated by Money, Time, and Agent Resources; which leads to some days where I'm doing nothing but trying to raise Agent 17s resources. Which, has a chance to fail. So if you are waiting on Agent 17 to be able to do something and she fails to get the stats necessary to do it, you essentially are losing 3 days in what a normal game is just a Sleep -> Find girl - > New Event scenario.

That said, I think this is a decent game. Lot of characters and the animations aren't bad at all. With some smoothing out of the day-to-day tedium I think it could be a better!

Okay. It kinda sucks that I have to One Star this, as usually I try to be critical but fair or at least constructive. But Don't play this. From what I've read this is a remake of a game that wasn't even finished to begin with and none of the content is here. A lot of work went into the presentation of the game but it feels completely soulless. And that's before you find out MC is human filth. Even without the story, this feels like a dolled up asset flip more than anything resembling a game that could be even misconstrued as fun. Which is a little bit of a shame because the premise could be done so well.

I went through the reviews to see why the game is rated so high. It's literally "WOW THE NPC'S ARE SO PRETTY!" If that's all you need, they're flipping the Honey Select assets. Make your own waifu and click through the animations yourself. You literally can't make a character that looks bad.

Now onto the "story." You are MC scumbag, the game starts out like you're just a guy that finds a phone from a car accident. "Wow free phone!" Then walks 12 steps and gets mugged for all his money by Ms. Attractive Criminal. Then the phone rings and robotic agent 17 says "What is mission? Me super soldier." So you get her to beat up the lady. And the MC gets her to do lewd things for him. And that's all the story there is. It becomes open sandbox grind. The first thing you (can) do after the story opening is go home and watch tv with your little sister. And she says she needs help with her homework and the first dumb thing your idiot character thinks to vomit out of his mouth is "Let me touch your body" or "give me money." Spoiler all the choices get the same "No thanks, I'll figure it out." So not only does she disregard that entirely, you watch Tv together and immediately get a locked quest for a lollipop. Which brings me to the quests.

Any competent developer should ask themself, "Is this in the current build of the game?" or "Does this do anything for a player if I leave it in the game?" And if the answer to either of them is NO, DON'T INCLUDE IT IN THE GAME. There is no [End of content for current version] warning to anything in this game. That is, until you grind up enough to get to the content and try to start the quest. It should be in the quest tracker so you don't waste time even cheating in the money to try something. And the grind if you were to actually play this, my god. "Rob safe, exploit women, 'train' agent 17, repeat." That's it. The whole loop of the game. It's not even a gameplay loop it's just "click on this icon." You don't boost stas through anything fun and the payoff is you just molesting someone. Wow. Cool.

I think I would give it one extra star if there was even a backstory to give him a reason to be a little pile of garbage. But no. He's just some spoiled kid that deserves every bad thing that has happened to him. I do like some corruption games, but there's nothing endearing to anything about this game. If you made it this far into my dumb review then you either played it and were as curious as me about what others think, or you're on the fence about wasting the 1.7Gb of hard drive space this game steals from you. My recommendation is you'd be better off buying a trashy romance novel for lonely housewives than getting this for free.

If somehow the Dev reads this, Ways to improve: Rewrite the entire story, lower the grind to like 10%, and find an actual english editor. Most of the audience is probably english anyway.

TLDR; Don't 'play' this if you read above a 5th grade reading level or value your time at all. It's undeveloped characters and molestation scenes. It's nothing special.

Tried this game for the reviews and found out the game is quite bad , the only good thing in this game is some girls looks beautiful other than that there is no story other than the corruption of the girls and annoying UI , Grinding Sandbox with torturous mini games and maps and repeated dialogues and boring writing full of typos and students who look like 40 yrs old . Stopped playing after first 2 days because of the annoying Sandbox , mini games . Overall pretty bad game with no story , only focused on corrupting girls and only annoying Sandbox , not worth wasting your time playing those mini games .

I love this game, it's a great game, both the visuals and the story. In-game comprehension You don't have to press any guesswork. Easy to play and the animations in general are considered another very good game. Looking forward to watching the next update.

This game is so addictive and creative! Not only are the graphics on point but the way that the dev uses some of the more complicated mechanics really got me hooked! I don't want to give away any spoilers but this game is more than worth a try. I for one will be waiting with great anticipation of the next update. Great job. Don't keep a girl waiting too long

Fairly iffy.

The girls look good and the mc doesn't look like a freak of nature like he tends to in most similar games. That's the good. The scenes are also generally very interactive, some even being weird little (one handed) minigames, which is fun.

And that's really it for upsides.
This game has next to no content, hidden behind an excessive grind.
You grind cash by repeatedly robbing the same safe, talking to the same person and doing the same minigames each day. Maybe just over 100 total. Several items cost like 99 thousand plus. Those are, far as I can tell, dummied items that do nothing as is. Game doesn't tell you this is the case. So you're facing an unreasonable grind for no content.
Right now sleeping pills are such an item. The game has a sort of quest log that tells you when you are done with a girl (except all the girls it doesn't list, which is like half or more). One of the uses for these pills is to drug coffee, which the quest log tells you to do.
Cheat cash, buy the sleeping pill, it doesn't work. So why is that listed as a viable quest to grind for?

Worse than this grind is the agent 17 grind. You can tell the agent to rest for a day to get 2 fists, then send them on entirely unexplained missions to convert fists into radio stations or a third symbol I forget. Or maybe those into fists. Or maybe just tank all your points for +1 of one of them. Its entirely random, once a day only, and you can go multiple dfays in a row having absolutely no options.
So the game just turns into spamming watch tv a dozen times in a row, hope agent lets you do anything relevant, repeat. Over and over again.
Its really boring.

At one point you get a girl that has a completely unreversable option to rape or forgive for being kind of a bitch. Both options are fairly poorly written, but it says it'll impact things for the entire game. But none of the effects of this seem to be implemented. So why even include the choice? Its just really confusing game design.

MC's characterization is also, even outside of this scene, all over the place. He'll happily break into the room of, molest and feed cum to his sister in her sleep. For no real given reason, without questioning it. Or order agent 17 to beat people up. Or forge documents. Or take advantage of poor people.
But then in half the other scenes he's a super nice guy and even the meanest option isn't something the guy in the other cases feels like he'd do.
And there's absolutely no explanation for his (mostly) complete lack of any moral fiber. It makes the writing feel really weird when he'll go from paying a poor girl to whore herself out to him in one scene to repeatedly telling an actual willing whore that she shouldn't whore because whoring is bad.
Its like he's not the same guy at all.

So what you have right now is a very pretty game with poor writing, too much grind and very little payoff.

Excellent game Hexatail! I've played the older version many months ago and this improved version tops it. Cant wait for the updates specially the depraved route of that bully girl which includes gangbang/foursome and prostitutuon. Keep up the good work!

I don't usually write reviews but I felt like I should write one for this game. This review is for the v0.12 version of the game.

First, why did I give this game 5 stars? Primarily because of the potential this game has. I am a fan of sandbox games and this game does sandbox very well for a point and click renpy game. There is a straightforward and consistent design language and objectives are visually clear and denoted. Navigation is easy and seamless and the in-game guide is simple and direct. Additionally, the design is very clean and gets a lot of small details right which can make a big difference in terms of overall experience.

What are the low points? At this point, the content itself is a little lacking, but the characters are overall quite likeable. There are small qualms I have like the lack of a persistent map icon, but those are relatively minor. At the end of the day, this is a very promising game that has a lot of design details right from the outset which means that the rest of development has a good runway to take off from once they figure out how they want to build out the story and there are a lot of different story threads to build on here.

In short, I am super excited to see where this game goes and it has the potential to be a REALLY GREAT game when all is said and done.

Why the Bad Reviews?
1. First of all, read the tags and do know not all of them are avoidable so you don't rage at nothing as some guys that make bad reviews because they didn't read.

2. Second, I said that because is not very "optional" most characters you HAVE to blackmail or drug them to have intercourse or something, they are NOT optional, but they do not see forced at all, characters won't cry or anything because of blackmail, it's like just to have a reason to have sex, the talking in this game is not very rich.
There is a more harsh scene though that is a kinda "rape" scene though it is very harsh and as so, optional.

THIS GAME IS NOT FOR EVERYONE DO READ THE TAGS.

NTR? as of v0.12, not yet, it is not NTR, it is voyeur, some scenes you end seeing someone has sex but there is no NTR yet, and even so if the game has ntr later it will not be you getting NTR.

Now back to the game review itself.


This game is not a game about story or character development.
This game is made to be fast, fun, and to make you burst a nut so don't expect much story or anything complex, since it was made to be fast and simple.

The focus of the game is mini-games so you'll see them a lot, they're not buggy and they are very fun, 10/10 easily.
The characters are very beautiful and the sex animations, angles, options are very good.
One of the biggest problems I would say it's just writing, the game dialogues are made to be and are fast but there's no problem with it, it's just the writer english that is bad, but you can get used to it.

Grinding.
Some people raged at the game balancing system and gave bad reviews for that, it doesn't get that much unbalanced, the dev made a balancing update and the game itself gets more balanced and give you new ways that give more money later, I myself tried the save editor before to get money faster (And it's funny because the dev has put anti-cheat).
But the game later had a balancing update, so don't worry, you won't rage at it now, or at least later, if you think is too much grind maybe just wait as the game is developing and the dev is making his changes.

Better than I expected. Doesn't really feel grindy if you spread out the events properly. The translation issue people seem to have most likely applies to the old version, not the new one. You almost won't notice it except during sex scenes, where I imagine the translator only has one or two words as his source text to follow and so have the "guess" their translation per se. Once those are fixed, you probably won't even notice that it's a translated game. That's pretty good.

Graphics are great, of course. The mini games are fairly diverse and easy to grind too. It might get annoying if we're 10 hours into the game, and you want to restart from beginning to explore a character's new route, but for now it's not an issue.

As for story and characters, this is a porn over story game, meaning that if you're playing this for the story you're playing it wrong. Kinda like Public Sex Life H, but does a better job and breathing life into the characters so you don't really feel like you're really just grinding toward that sweet h-content. On the other hand, Public Sex Life H definitely has more content right now.

The biggest problem of course, is that the old content aren't fully restored yet. Not even close. This is easily a 5/5 for most people when that happens. For now, it's just a 4/5. A lot of characters, a fair amount of sex, and several hours worth of entertainment. Good enough for me.

Well, I guess this one very much comes down to "personal taste" when we are talking about consent. To be honest, I only played the game for about 30 minutes before quitting because the game made me feel rather uncomfortable with its rapey vibes.

The Good:
- The NPCs are well designed, the models and animations are beautiful.
- The UI is stylish and and efficient, the sandbox navigation is very well done.

The Ambivalent:
- Playing a scumbag looser MC with serious personal hygiene issues is not neccessarily a bad thing if done well and might offer good opportunities for humourous content and parodies. If it wasn't for the next point...

The Bad:
- So far all sexual encounters I saw are the result of blackmail, coercion or molestation. There is zero consent on the side of the NPCs. To be fair: Some greyed out options are hinting at later consensual encounters for some NPCs, but first you have to get through the non-consensual content first. If you have a problem with non-consensual encounters then this game is not for you.

I mean, I have a few wild kinks myself, but consent is always the number one rule, especially when stuff gets kinky and roleplay is involved. Besides: This is 2021, not the 20th century. Molesting people is simply not cool.
However, if you are into that stuff, then this game might be what you are looking for.

I actually like it! I see it as a good fapping game.

-Tasks and mini games are unique and fun. I actually enjoy the lock picking mechanic its really cool, the tasks do become annoying over time. But they are quick. There needs to be a better way to make money. (3/5)
-I HATE how they make you molest your sister, feels very rapey and idk just not a fun for me. I thought the mechanic for it was imppersive. some may find it annoying but I didn't. (2/5)

This game probably very nice. Beside of lagging and Engrisk (yep, Engrisk lol). The girls in this game are so nice (and can easily make you horny,), have their own story , not too deep but I think it's enough for a H game.

I think this game could do more better than that, I'll rate 5 star because this is a unique game I could find on F95 (maybe lol) with wonderful 3D art, and seems like in Korea I guess?

So I'll start off with saying, the pictures in the OP aren't what you get, it's being redone or something so there's a fraction of that content.

The majority of the content so far is locked behind paying someone to do stuff. How do you earn money? Well go clean dishes, baths and toilets. You earn $8 for 3 dishes, $10 for a toilet. Buying a girl a dress will set you back $400 for example. Think, well I won't bother doing that and will just use a save editor to get the money... no no no, the dev added something to check for that and reset your money to 0 if you do, because he really wants you scrubbing those toilets, over and over and over and over and over again... someone in the comments included a save with money and how to get around the check, so if you're going to play definitely check one of those out.

Trying to annoy you won't stop there... want to molest your sister at night, of course you do.. so once you've gotten access to her room... then click to turn her over, buuuut you've gotta wait between clicks or it'll fill a bar and that's a no go... so do that 5 times... now she's turned over... take off her pyjamas, you know the drill, waste your time clicking 5 times with a nice delay between each... now... turn her head, you've guessed it, 5 slow ass clicks, etc.

I stopped reviewing games a while back because I found it a bit stressful trying to come up with a fair rating that held across games and things... this one annoyed me sufficiently to start again.

It's ok. The story is alright and has a few things going for it. Interacting with the ladies is to the point, click and talk. The MC is meh. What kind of MC doesn't take baths, and why does the game go out of it's way to point that out and why is there no option to take a * bath(?). Yes the English is pretty bad, however easy enough to read and not a deal breaker for me. The animations are smooth, but the dialog for some of the scenes is an instant boner killer for me, and I'm not talking about the Engrish as it is referred to.

Deleted. Would not recommend.

I see a lot of somewhat unfair reviews, so to address a few points:

-English is clearly not the dev's first language, but the translation never reaches the point of being unintelligible (It's typically easy to understand what is being said, and is never enough to completely take you out of the game). It's not nearly as bad as some have said.

-The main character is a scumbag loser. I personally consider that to be a positive (I like games in which you're allowed to be almost entirely immoral, and are forced to start from the very bottom, gradually clawing your way into power using any method available to you), but that's up to personal taste. This type of character is pretty typical in these types of games though, and you probably shouldn't have been surprised, given the tags.

-This game doesn't actually have NTR (Not yet, anyways). Unless your definition of "netorare" is any time anyone has sex with anyone else who isn't you (Regardless of the reasons, and whether or not they're actually in a relationship of any sort with you)... Which has never been the ACTUAL definition, but whatever.
Here are the two examples of "netorare" in the game:
1) You catch a teacher having sex with the principal, and take a picture to use for blackmail in the future (This isn't implemented in the current version yet, so you just hold onto the picture for now).
2) You trick a bully into giving her friend a blowjob in exchange for money (He pays you, essentially making her your whore). This is entirely optional, so you don't even have to experience this scene if you don't want to.

I just wanted to clarify a few things for people who haven't played the game yet, since some of the reviews are pretty misleading, in my opinion (I personally hate NTR, so I was a bit put off when I saw several negative reviews mentioning it as a key point... To be fair though, the dev also mistakenly calls this content NTR, so he's somewhat to blame as well).
The game is fine. It's not amazing or anything, but I've personally been enjoying it, and look forward to future updates.

Their character modeling is very good.
Gameplay is fine.
NTR can be avoided. (It doesn't mean NTR for someone to see your woman naked)
NTR scenes are fine (there is one for now)
There is walkrought in the game.
