No, with how nearly every game is done by a brand new team of what are essentially college graduate level or less programmers because of that stupid stigma against the porn game industry in Japan, the devs won't know better. Sure, people who worked on previous games know better, but they aren't at Illusion anymore because they decided to get out as soon as possible and move on to mainstream companies. However, you do have one point correct. There was an incompetent decision made, specifically to move from their proprietary engine that anyone who actually stuck around is used to to Unity in 2014 starting with HaremMate. That was the absolute worst decision they could have made because it leaves absolutely nobody to be able to walk these newbies through any of the development, so the newbies are on their own if they get stuck. Yes, the proprietary engine had issues, like that severe lag on Win10 machines post anniversary update, but at least there would possibly be someone around that was comfortable with the software. They literally jumped into Unity without a plan to be able to run newbies through making a competent effort on their products.
