I mean yeah of course but in my mind the longer I wait the more content I have with characters that isn't Andrew. So for example if update A is mostly an Andrew update but Update B has alot less or no Andrew content. It feels alot better to wait until update B instead of playing and playing an update I don't like most of the content in it.

Yeah that means im waiting longer periods of time but this isn't exactly a game I need to play right away. To me this game is nothing more than a guilty pleasure albeit better than alot of guilty pleasures. Deep did mention that he was dealing with personal issues, which is quite an unusual thing for him to say, because he rarely mentions his private life, even on Discord. So if he mentions that in an update, it's probably something significant, that's likely been interfering with his work quite a bit.

I hope that his problems will be solved in the best possible way. And if you add to that, at the beginning of February, when I talked to him a little bit, he told me that he was sick for a few days. So it makes a lot of sense that this update will take longer to come out.

The reason we're getting a lot of content with Andrew at the moment, is because the Devs are setting up the 2 routes that will specifically have Anna staying with Andrew. And that's mainly because Deep decided to have Andrew get shot, and that effectively ruled him out of any content for weeks. So now were playing catch-up, because if he hadn't been shot, they could have spread his content over a much longer period.

The original plan for Andrew, didn't involve him getting shot. Deep was persuaded to do that, against his better judgement by the Patrons who hate Andrew (and there a lot of them). And I think he may then have intended for Andrew to maybe die during the second operation or in it's aftermath? But having done that, he was then persuaded by Awake, who became co-Dev and the main writer of the game at the start of Chapter 2, to re-habilitate Andrew and have routes where Anna and Andrew stay together. But that meant of course, they couldn't start those routes until a 'reasonable' amount of time passed, for Andrew to recover from his injuries. And that's why virtually every update we're getting Andrew scenes, and corresponding scenes involving John, who is likely to play a big role in one of those routes.

Actually, I think originally Deep intended for Anna and Rebecca to have fun together. The very first beach scene has Rebecca pretty much suggesting that she join Carl and her in a threesome. And in the second beach scene, Rebecca insinuates that her love for Anna, was not just sisterly but sexual as well. And you can decide whether Anna feels the same. Both these scenes appeared to be setting up future full-on sexual scenes involving Anna and Rebecca, and Anna, Rebecca and Carl.

But then of course, Patreon changed their rules on incest content, and all that went out of the window. For a while, even after the rules changed, Deep was still insisting that Anna and Rebecca would be having naughty fun together, because I think he believed that lesbian incest wouldn't be a problem. But by the time we reached Chapter 2, and Patreon's position was clearer, he obviously decided it wasn't worth rocking the boat, and that content got quietly ditched. He had them making out a bit, and giving Michael a BJ together, but that was as far as it went.

And the Anna/Rebecca/Carl threesome was kind of hinted at, during a scene with Carl, if Anna asks for his help with Earl, and Rebecca pretends to be asleep and spies on them. But it never went any further. I'm sure that was a combination of the change in Patreon's rules and the subsequent decision to make Carl into the game's chief villain.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I didn’t go into all that detail in my post because I didn’t feel like writing a full analysis, but you’re absolutely right. Rebecca’s behavior makes it pretty easy to come to that conclusion, especially with the early beach scenes and how flirty she is. And now there’s also that bar scene — if you stretch reality just a bit, it’s basically borderline incest between the sisters.

Exactly, and that's the reason why this update hasn't been released yet. DeepSleep makes scenes that will be in the next or future updates anyway. The question is why it does it at the last minute and always pushes the release date back because of it, even though it won't be in the update!

Khantus mentioned above that Deep has been ill, and in the last update he implied that personal issues recently, had slowed him down. So it seems pretty obvious what the cause of the delay has been.
