I see reading comprehension is not your thing.
I said none of that you just implied that and started hating on your false interpretation.

....
Might I suggest investing in a mirror. Reading through your objectively wrong takes is pretty painful.

We get it.., you either regret donating to a creator and/or just feel entitled to content. No need to make a piss rant projecting your delusions. (Made even worse by contradicting yourself)

Instead of just taking the L you're doubling down and shitting up the forum.

Wrong and reading properly what I wrote couldn't possibly give you that conclusion, delusional...
End of discussion from my site.

Luxee's been getting a lot more frequent.
I like how he added in the 13th scene on the second of these two progress reports and changed the count numbers on the left but didn't renumber the Heather's new scene so both 8 and 9 are listed as Heather 12.

But what I find amusing is how you detect the perfectionism of Luxee with how scene Heather 4 goes from done on March 3rd's to half done on March 5. Methinks he looked at it and decided it needed to be "fixed" in a way only the author would believe is necessary. Hope to see another progress update soon.

What's the record for longest ongoing game cuz this one has to be up there.

Using update system which may or may not be the best way but if the the oldest is based on when it was posted on this site without an abandoned or completed tag there is one from Aug 2016, over two years before this game. And that one was updated this month. Not linking directly since I don't think it's allowed to link and unrelated game in a game thread.

So Apartment #69 is not even close to a record holder.

It's also being updated which puts it ahead of many abandoned games and if I remember correctly Luxee put this one on hold for a while so its time in active development is shorter than its original posting would imply.

They did explain in no uncertain words that they wouldn't leave PF in it's "final release" state after all, and had to go back to even some very early parts to redo/fix/expand/add scenes because they weren't satisfied with the final version.

Most creative people tend to be highly critical of their own work... and endlessly unsatisfied with how it ends up being...

It started 6 years, 11 months and 20 days ago. It didn't help that "Development was on pause through 27-Sep-2018 to 26-Aug-2020".
That's... still over 4 years of development. That's not really a great look regardless. This is coming from someone who started supporting and following luxee back with PL

Not every dev works at the same speed, with the same amount of help, on projects of the same scale, with the same amount of free time, etc etc etc...

I'd rather have a good slow burner that I like rather than sloppy short updates with mono-dimensional characters every month or two.

Fact is, I fucking love all the characters in this game so far (aside from the obvious ones you're meant to hate). I'd rather Luxee works the way that makes them inspired than they burn themselves out and abandon the project entirely, like so many other devs do.

It's not like there's an overabundance of other games to play in this site alone.

Edit: clearing typos

What are you talking about, it doesn't matter if payment is optional or not, fact is, you can even register on these donation platforms or receiving donation without a commercial tax id, seriously that takes you 5 min to find out...

I haven't blamed any devs in this discussion, get you record straight, I'm complaining about people like you who are defending busines operations against complains from the customer side.
That's anoying af to get a freaking flamewar when somebody says hey I'm anoyed that stuff takes ages or whatever - you're not rescueing a kid from beeing bullied in school here...

Anyway keep living in your misguided ignorance, but stop attacking people cause they said something bad about your favourite devs, doenst help anyone, is annoying and makes you look like an idiot.
I don't know what is needed to set up a Patreon, SubscribeStar, or any other account.
And I personally wouldn't take money for something I do for fun. When Steam introduced the option to take money for mods, I didn't do so because I didn't want to ever feel obligated to deliver something I did for a hobby.

BUT - if a developer uploads their game for free themselves, maybe not even have an account anywhere, until relenting to the fans bombarding them about wanting to donate to them, then it is like putting up a tip jar.
Having a tip jar doesn't make you a business, and putting a penny into said tip jar doesn't make you a customer that can demand anything based on that penny.

The lines can blur, and here we even have the problem that at some point, people were so against Patreon that Luxee relented and created a SubscribeStar account for them - and SubscribeStar does not offer a 'per update' model.
But even if you regularly put a penny in someone's tip jar, you are no customer if you have full access to everything they offer while ignoring that tip jar - you are just a really nice person who seems to enjoy and value what is or possibly will be there.

how does this still drift without an abandon i remeber this game then i joined and it has what 1 update since ? lmao
If it warms your heart, there was an 'Abandoned' tag in the history of this AVN, but it was removed after the update was released. According to the site rules, 'Abandoned' can only appear after 18 months without a release or 3 months without news from the developer. The last update was in November last year. The last message from the developer was on 25 March (see above). So neither condition is met.

He's just complaining for the sake of shitting on the rythm of update releases.
