You could try opening their files with notepad or a similar program. If their data is stored as human-readable text that should work (I'd be surprised if it isn't).Is there a way to convert .npc files into .dat (or a way to edit already-created NPCs)?
Yeah I figured you can edit the values in text form, but it sucks to not be able to see what you're doing with the character. Better than nothing I suppose. Still feels like it shouldn't be hard to convert the files backwards given you can just load up an appearance file and turn it into a character instantly with no work. You could try opening their files with notepad or a similar program. No, you can't edit NPCs which already created in game. Yes, you can convert .npc to .dat file.Is there a way to convert .npc files into .dat (or a way to edit already-created NPCs)?
The text around the first part is {"body":{ does that mean I delete everything from the start of the file up to (but not including) that first brace? And for the scale part it would be everything starting with the coma after the double braces, to the end of the file. Is that right?1. Open .npc file in text editor( I'm using VS code for it)
2. Search in text for "body"
3. Delete all text before brace
4. Search in text for "scale"
5. Delete all text after 2 braces
6. Save as file and change format to .dat
I don't know exactly where the vanilla NPC files are stored. I tried looking for it but couldn't find. The only working solution for now is to disable all vanila NPCs and create your ownThe text around the first part is {"body":{ does that mean I delete everything from the start of the file up to (but not including) that first brace? EDIT: Yep, ok, tried it out. It's exactly like that.
Either way, amazing info, thanks.
And while I'm at it, is there a way to modify vanilla NPCs, by any chance?
Yeah it's just that the ones in town and that sit around to chat in the levels are fixed, so it'd be nice to be able to edit those.I don't know exactly where the vanilla NPC files are stored. Nope, you pretty much nailed the description on all of the content in the game. People have been posting various NPCs that they have created, so you can scroll back through the thread and download a few, if you want to change up the default NPCs in the game.is there anything more to this game then fighting the same one enemy over and over, getting the same loot over and over and having sex with npcs?
what is the 1/20? i assume it must be some sort of level up system, and is there a way to masturbate in the game?
You can you have to press ZThere is an option to masturbate, but you have to interact with a NPC on the islands. I THINK the option is under Offer, there should be an 'ask the NPC to masturbate' or just masturbate. When you are just slumming around one of the islands, I don't think there is an option to just rub one out wherever you are.
UABE Asset Studiohow you did it?
I went through all 20 levels because I asked myself the same questions you are asking. For those brave souls that have completed all 20 "levels," is there anything else at the end? New content? New enemies? An ending? I'm kinda huffing copium wishing that this isn't all that there is at this point, and I don't want to slog through boring locales for another 3 hours or so.
Damn. Thanks for your service soldierI went through all 20 levels because I asked myself the same questions you are asking.
The answer to your questions is: No.
No ending.
No new content.
No new enemies.
No new areas.
No new scenery.
No new NPCs.
No new items.
No new anything.
What you see on level 1 is pretty much exactly what you will see on level 20. Pretty disappointing, but, ehh, it was something to do.
The higher the level you are on, enemies will drop more money and the items are better, but nothing new, special, or different.

This is the dev's first game release.. I know it's disappointing to have a great idea to dinking around with, but.. He is taking what he's learned in Arch, and has already started working on his next game. If you can, join his discord.. It's worth it to get some "behind the scenes" info.. on what his continued plans are with Arch, and what he's planning for his next game. :thumbsup:Damn. Thanks for your service soldier![]()
Eh, I like surprises. Plus, joining Discord servers ain't my jam. All I do is lurk lol. Now having the knowledge that this is his first project, I did psych myself up to see what was beyond those 20 levels and what not, but in hindsight, yeah, nothing.
