Episode 1 was reworked and is one of the newer updates and was rendered with clearly much better equipment and experience. Episode 2 is years older than the current episode 1.

i am fine with the focus being on certain LI's/FWB's. I just downloaded the latest up and loaded my save from the previous episode, played into this current episode and the only 2 scenes I get is Eve and Nora in the morning, the MC watching tv for a few hours and then MC and Nora in the evening, then update done.
