Zoey still liked/loved Mc tho at that time I think and MC didn't dated Josy despite having a crush on her before he moved out to college he was pretty much hung on Zoey. So it pretty clear they both had feelings for each other. Also, Zoey isn't even as wild as people thinks but you need to know that she was there after her grandmother death and MC was the only was affected by that misunderstanding. Also, Zoey wasn't portrayed as someone like that, She is a girl with family issues but sadly interlude was so boring and pointless journey.

Part of the community feels that Interlude has seriously delayed Episode 9 without adding anything new to the story. Because Interlude is a small spin-off that tells the backstory of MC's childhood friend Zoey.

It would even be better storywisely if there were no sex scenes, because it's quite awkward when someone tries to be serious and add some nonsense sex scene just to indulge the fapping audience...

There is more drama in the interlude haters continuously whining about it than the actual interlude.

Now whether that means the interlude is dull drama, or that people are overreacting to the interlude, I'll leave that up to you to decide.

Man I get you don't like the Interlude, but calling others out DPC fanboys for liking it is a far reach. Everybody has their taste, I find the Interlude meh as fuck but I like Zoey and since I didn't even like any of the MGs I'm looking forward to see what she brings to the story. This is false; yes, you can get abridged version of Interlude consequences through this menu, but it actually doesn't set variables the same way playing through Interlude itself does -- the shortcut sets zoey_dik based on attitude towards Emma, while the actual Interlude sets it based on answers to all little choices you make about Zoey's behavior along the way.

This means playing through Interlude allows to have a more nuanced Zoey, e.g. a CHICK Zoey who didn't take Emma's shit when push came to shove, or vice versa, a DIK Zoey who dealt with Emma in nice manner. You won't get such options taking the shortcut.
