And if he didn't join the DIKs, then the title would have been "Not Being a DIK" and that just doesn't have the same ring to it or be very popular.Considering that the protagonist gradually developed his DIK traits during his time in the fraternity, I assume that if the circumstances had been different, he would have remained a "nice guy." However, given his ability to stand up for himself, it's possible that Tommy or any other character wouldn't have been able to easily mess with him.
Maybe "Rejected DIK" or "DIKless" could've worked.
