Is it me or does it seem when you're not on say Sage's or Josy's route it seems like they're trying to meddle in MC's relationship like Josy telling Sage about MC dating Bella or Sage telling MC that Lilly is using him or when Jill tells Bella that it's against the rules to date a student which ok that argument has merit but it still comes off as meddling and Maya not so much directly meddles but you can tell that she's grown fonder of MC and is unsure of her relationship status with Josy seems like the green-eyed monster is running rampant throughout the MG's.
I don't know about meddling.
Bella path:
They're all in the same friendship group that seemingly share a lot (ie Sage having her emotional walls up, but being willing to talk about the divorce with them). Sage asks why they're sharing a bed, unaware that MC is dating Bella. I'd say Jill's actions are closer to meddling than Josy's, but even then i wouldn't consider that meddling.
Lily path:
Regardless of if you (somehow) reject Sage, her and the MC grow very close, he's her confidant and almost emotional regulator. She worries for the MC that he's unaware of how it looks, and tries to talk to him because she cares. When he tells her that he's fine with it, she tries to drop the issue but MC is the one who presses the issue more. If she was trying to meddle, she'd be trying to break them up, but i just interpreted her as making sure he knows what's going on. You could probably infer there is feelings on Sage's part and she's a bit jealous, but there's not a lot to say it concretely.
MC on Sage's path before she breaks up with Chad meddles way more than anyone else
Maya:
Non issue if you're not on her path and don't tell her you still have feelings for her. There's nothing to suggest she sees MC as anything more than a close friend who's done a lot to her. I'm not even sure if a Maya solo path outside the throuple will happen, because then DPC will have to retread the whole exploring sexually thing again.
The reason on why she didn't break up with Chad was not that Sage is possessive, or that she sees other people as a threat. Is that she doesn't want to abandon him. She doesn't want to let go that easily. That's why she wanted to find out who the "bitch" was. She needed something to be justified. Or at least that's what she told herself. Again, Sage is complicated and with a lot of fears despite her out-going and carefree personality.
There also the fact she clearly has abandonment issues which is shown a lot in Episode 12. She doesn't want to be alone, she's not the first person to be in a shit relationship she's not happy with, because it's better than being alone.
She's shown multiple times throughout the game to be hotheaded initially, but when she cools down she's able to reason, and understand and be empathetic and talk through her feelings. I think it's clear in the game that she has progressed a long way in being able to hold back that anger, at least when it comes to MC, even as far back as the rebound guy talk. You can visibly see her get angry, but holds herself back to the point where all she says is "What the fuck dude", and excuses herself. Or the Zoey talk, early Sage you'd expect her to blow up, but they have a calm discussion and she again removes herself from the situation by trying to sleep. The only time we've seen "old Sage" is when the MC tries to talk about her family while fucking, which is just weird from him.
That's why I don't think that the Zoey thing is a ticking time bomb anymore, she's not the same character who'll blow up over the slightest thing, she might be angry at Zoey, but the MC hasn't done anything wrong, he's been completely honest with her about how he feels and his intentions, and he misread the situation.
Personally, if my girlfriend told me that her ex tried to get back with her, she rejected him, left a party that she planned to spend time with me, then told me she loved me for the first time, why the fuck would i be mad at her
