Unfortunately, your whole theory falls apart in ep10. Even if the player is DIK and Maya rejected him earlier in ep4 and he is in no way compatible with her because she likes more sensual guys, she admits that she likes him. The player can ignore her the whole game, but all he has to do is choose the Others path, talk to her a few times and Maya is yours. She will forget that you have the wrong affinity as a player and that the logic of the game is that the game should dislike you.
I actually know why he's doing this. DPC most likely wants to throw the Josy/Maya path under the train of Massive DIK from Others, during which Josy or Maya will cheat on their girlfriend with MC causing them to break up. Well when they break up they will be open to threesomes and other things we love so much in the game.
You're wrong. There are a huge number of games in which MC is far more interesting. Fuckface is purely functional here, he plays the role of an observer. For example, Nika from Summer gone is much more interesting. He has a complex and contradictory character, you can't call him a good guy and you can't call him an outright scumbag. He has a lot of flaws and is annoying at times. But because he feels so realistic. MC in this game is too functional, he's a function character. He doesn't have any bright distinctive features, he has no personality, he's too gray and ordinary. But for a game like this, built on immersiveness, this is probably the best option.
