Nobody's mad. We note that this is boring for a game of this level where the characters are several levels deeper, interesting and multifaceted. Being DLC for Maya for 9 episodes, being insecure girl, and then trying to find herself after the problem is solved is weak writing.Yes, because insecurity and uncertainty was baked in from very early on and you can see it in Eps 1 & 2.
The reason that y'all seem so mad that it's "coming out of nowhere", which it isn't, is that a) you didn't pick up on the signs throughout the game, and b) you don't seem to realise how much she was putting her own life, her own self, on hold for Maya, a fact she acknoweldges in Ep 11 because that's exactly what she was doing this whole time. The fact that she was doing this is precisely why she hasn't had much development on her own because she putting someone else before herself and thus holding herself back from her own personal growth as well as even finding her voice, and again, it was plain to see this.
DPC didn't forget about her, he's not scrambling to make something for her with this quest to find her identity, he wrote her as a self-sacrificing, insecure girl who was so focused on helping Maya with her issue that she lost herself in the process, and now with that issue resolved, she doesn't know where she stands and who she is but now she's working on that and finally letting other people help and be there for her for a change.
I haven't seen her selflessly try to help Maya. The only thing she's achieved is talking to Jill. A big part of Josy's plot is that she has feelings for MC more than Maya. The person who really selflessly helped Maya was Tremolo himself.
