Well, it's DPC's MO. When we're no longer using narrative, or logic, but instead base our expectations on the writer's horrible writing ideas past techniques...

It would be nice to see some payoff of something, like Sage's guitar and martial arts work, instead of the numerous forgotten threads. That's at least...something to put faith into? She did joke about ruining her nails on Zoey.

(Not exactly mature for Sage, and hopefully will never come to pass.)

Since I have just started a Sage run I'd like to touch on something in the early scenes. In C3, when MC stays the night with Jill they have that conversation, bringing up the usual My Mom died while giving birth sob story (just for context) when Jill comments on him being from poor upbringings that all this ornamental dresser and nice bed are nice and all, but she could do without.

While this is true in theory, I call BS on it. Of course she has her own traumata with overbearing parents and her dead sister, and later on a creepy, but castrated one-sided love interest, one thing she never went through is being poor. Essentially she doesn't know a single thing about it, and thus can't know if she could live without.

[As a speculation for an eventual continuation of my old Jill run that is stuck after C8 on my old hard disk, I feel that the main obstacle to overcome will be that Jill's parents would never accept the MC coming from a "lower class".]

It would be nice if during the faculty event when Tremolo is playing, he calls Sage (if she is present, which is a possibility with her parents) to the stage to play a song together with him.

And about that martial arts training, I feel it's pretty pointless up till now (and I can only speak up to the relationship decision after C8) since it never came up again. For now it's just a one-off brawler minigame, I hope that she will get to beat somebody up in the future. (Maybe her obnoxious brother when he's out of the hospital. :devilish:)

It's a Quinn thing, it comes up in Episode 8. She shares a story about one time her dad added it to her favorite meal in an attempt to make it better, but she disliked it. Now it's sort of used as a "safe word" between her and MC when it comes to feelings.

Quinn and MC have a conversation about how she is uncomfortable with affection especially in public. She likes to get kinky in bed but doesn't like hugs, kisses etc. "Broccoli" becomes their code for things Quinn isn't comfortable with.

The way I understood it, she only wanted to use the sparring to get rid of rage, not to learn to fight better.

Although I wouldn't be too surprised if at least DIK Zoey will build up anger inside of her again xD

I've got a feeling Broccoli is going out the window on a Quinn-only run if she meets up with MC again.
