Which version of the game are you using? Make sure you have updated to 06 fix.OnlyFunz I know this is not your game and that you are making a mod for it but I wonder if you could take a look at a traceback error log and be able to tell what needs to be fixed in order to prevent it from happening again.

I feel, you are trying to use an Old save file (which was saved before the fixes .01 to .05)Using version .06 fix and still getting the same error as seen here.
Also in running through the memory replays I got another error for watching movies with Lisa.
