This is a review of version 0.4.
BlueHole Project is Renpy sandbox game. While the underlying game plot seems to be somewhat complex, the game itself is very basic. The graphics are quite simple and the sandbox tasks and mechanics are basically "Go to one of the handful of locations at a certain time and something will happen." The times and locations are clearly laid out in the hint system, so there's no need to wander around aimlessly. At this point in the game there has been no branching or significant choices (other than, perhaps, simply not doing the next task with a particular girl).
Despite the generic trappings of the game, I found it vaguely compelling. The developer clearly does have a story they are trying to tell, and it was enough to keep me playing until the end of the current version.
