The assets for the environment and models look amazing.
It's just that it's a bad pretty bad time trying to read it. Commas in random places, ending statements with question marks and questions with periods, misspelled words, grammar is all over the place. Awkward dialogue. Sometimes too formal or unnatural but at least they’re not all talking with internet slang. It's not a matter of something being lost in translation. It's not that someone can't understand what's being said. It's more like it's distracting and makes the story rough. It ruins any kind of tone you're trying to set with each scene and makes the characters not feel like they're their own person because I just keep thinking about the person who wrote this rather than thinking someone is actually saying the words.

It's just all so bad I can't really get into the story. Seems more story-focused than content-focused too. It's like the dev wants this to be treated as a legitimate story and visual novel and not just something with good looking renders but it very badly needs heavy proofreading. Otherwise there's no point in playing the game.

Even if the dev is a non-native English speaker, I really don't think that works as an excuse. If you're going to write a story in English that is for English readers then you need to make sure you're proficient enough.
It'd be like volunteering to coach a basketball team but you've only played tennis your whole life and don't know anything besides the one or two games you've watched on tv. It'd be like "We appreciate your enthusiasm but why are you trying to coach the team if you don't even know the rules?" You may be a tennis champion and an overall great athlete but that doesn't mean that translates into your skills as a basketball coach unless you learn and get really good, really fast.

The same reasoning applies to VNs that are written in English and intended for English speakers. You could've made this game in your native language (or other languages you're fluent in) and marketed it towards people in that language but you didn't. Someone probably could've later on just provided a translation as well which would maybe be improved over time if it's popular enough. Only in this case, you probably just need help from a solid proofreader.

Maybe English was chosen because it might reach a wider audience but I mean at this level of acquisition, it just kills the story for me. Gave it a 3 because I appreciate the renders and the effort but I'm just debating whether or not I drop this right now.


It just kind of baffles me that people don’t get that concept. Maybe because some reviewers only speak English and can’t imagine anything else outside of that bubble while the rest are just as lacking in fluency so they don’t really see the problem. I wish I could explain this better but it’s like you do realize that this dev isn’t an idiot and can read and write in his language just fine, right? But he chose specifically to step into this “arena” and chose to make game that's story-oriented and not just hot pictures to look at with interesting game mechanics (nothing interesting in terms of game mechanics btw).

Bright Lord so far (phase 2 v 0.2b) is defenitely a game worth playing even if it's not perfect. It has some tough and meaningful choices which is good, a story that makes incest work thanks to the supernatural factor and some pretty interesting characters with background and attitudes (even though some are more cliche). The story itself, beyond sex and all that, has some very interesting ideas which are being explored in a pretty decent way, making it quite a pleasure to see how the lore and world evolves and advances as you go on. There is one mechanic, the point system, that seems to have been dropped in Phase 2 and the choice for the love path with one character actually left me no choice as I could only choose that one, which are some things to improve (giving choices with only one choice is not a good idea, at least show the alternatives greyed out and why only that one is available, as has been done in the past).

Render quality is very high as are the models for the different characters. Animations are not only for sex scenes (which is great, I personally love the mini-videoclip at the begginning of phase 2) but sex animations are quite short as are the sex scenes themselves. And I had the game both freeze and hang my PC a couple times, but it could have been problems with my computer.

So, all in all, I can really see this one going up to five stars if it continues going like it is.

I'm giving it a 5 mostly because it's far better than most games on f95. The renders are all fantastic, the story line is certainly engaging, the sex scenes are quite nice, and for the most part, all the main characters personalities are enjoyable.

I do have a few cons in that the characters are all a bit TOO curvy (personal opinion though), MC is far too endowed as per the annoying usual on these games, the "land lady" looks just as young as every other character which can be really detracting from the story, and lastly, going from part 1 to part 2 was a bit of a nuisance given you pretty much have to remember a LOT of the decisions you made in part 1. I don't know how much it actually influences the story, since I only did one playthrough, but it was a lot to remember if it does matter. Would've been nice to somehow use a save from part1 to carry those choices over.

But really though, those cons were all minor and in comparison to most games on F95, definitely not enough to bring it down from a 5 star game for me. So I'll certainly be looking forward to more updates.

Likeable characters (mostly, Chloe is fucking annoying beyond reason but she gets better in phase 2 ... why is it called phase 2 and not part 2? idk) (Emily is fucking adorable imo, i love her so much) (Lizie or whats her name is just a slut, i find her annoying)

Review as of Phase2 v0.2b
After playing both phases, I must say that I really enjoyed the game. The storyline didn't really appeal to me at first, I certainly don't like corrupt MCs and didn't feel comfortable playing. But in phase 2, this has really turned out well. There is more emphasis (if you have chosen this path) that it was not your choice and that you actually did not want to do it. In the end, the romance still felt wholesome and fulfilling and not forced/creepy. The graphics and the characters are also of very high quality. The characters also have thoughts, which is something I always appreciate. So actually almost nothing to complain about, the only thing that could be better in my opinion are the s*x scenes. The animations are not really great or smooth so to say.
But there is enough in this game to make it worth five stars, I recommend playing it!

This game takes its story way too seriously. It's not a slow burn where there's a nice build up towards the sex scenes, making them feel earned. No, it's like a one step forward then two steps back conundrum. Most of them are a weird combination of instant gratification, teasing, more teasing and mind control copouts. Worse yet, each one felt redundant, like an excuse to lazily put the protagonist's dick in front a girl's face and that's it. Makes me wonder if the developer(s) were more interested in the guy than the beautiful women in this game. They certainly put more effort into writing his corruption than theirs. Which is hella boring and I hope not to see in future updates. Because the mom needs more scenes, development and attention to detail. As of Phase 2 v0.2b, the animation for her main sex scene has some inconsistencies. In one shot she's shaved while in the next she has a bush. Not a big deal, but what was really disappointing was the position he fucked her in, missionary. When she was on all fours clearly wanting doggy style.

Interesting plot. Seems like its just there to string sex scenes together but actually its pretty unique and has depth. The girls are nice, the renders are great, they are all unique. Lots of choices if thats your thing, but they dont seem to make too much of a big difference (which is fine. Some grammar issues but its not a big deal. Overall pretty solid.

I was really on the fence with this title but glad that I played through. In many darker themed games, I personally, at some point will turn it off and never play again because of the internal ick feeling that can and does happen. With this title there is a lot of lack of control and punishment for making decisions which certainly triggered that internal state of ick. Not for the feint of heart and definitely for those who enjoy that internal struggle. Overall this was a really well done vn with great renders.

Edit: wanted to add that I found the writers grasp of giving the individuals in the game their own personalities was top notch, I find a lot of vn's have a tremendous leak of personality between individuals which can distract from my personal enjoyment.

Well, I'm not one to rate a game very soon but this one (Bright Lord) left me with my jaw dropped and it's hard to impress me. The first phase was a great experience to get to know Mc's family, a typical successful well-structured family with problems like all of us.

The interesting thing about the game is how realistic it is in showing this to us.... The second phase has been very interesting so far. Already having sex with the girls now let's get down to business I think the game has excellent writing smooth animations a very good point in my opinion.

A 5/5 from a guy who likes Harem, decent to good story and some drama (without BS). I wanted to give it a 4/5 because of the beginning but after playing S2 its fair to say that this game is above "good".

I will be honest, I didnt thought I would like this game but the more I played the more I liked it.
So if you play the first part of S1, and you dont know if you shall continue or not -> PLAY IT!
Trust me, if you also a guy who is looking for a good harem WITH some drama as a basis, this will be a good suggestion.

The beginning of S1 is a bit rushed. Be it from the scenery or sex scenes. But if you play further like Ep4-6 you see it gets a lot of improvement.
S2 is pretty good compared what the game was back then in 2020.

A warning tho:
Its Harem yes and there is no BS fuckery like "They are not a couple yet", "MC didnt feel cucked tho" or your typical excuses you hear from the other side. BUT there is Drama. (Good Drama in my eyes).

Based on completing Phase 1 and starting Phase 2...

Highlights:
- Very nice renders
- A few animations
- It seems obvious which choice to make for the fap content and unlock gallery images.

Less than Positive points:
- All women are big tits and firm bodies...no variety, except Emily is a little less busty than every other model
- Another mother-figure/MILF that looks like she's 24 instead of 37-45. She might as well be an older sister instead of a mother.
- My biggest issue is that too many scenes are very dark, even with the brightness on my laptop turned up to max it was difficult to see what was happening. Phase 2 is even worse with the dark scenes. I get there are shadows, but every scene is difficult to see.
- Deciding to "unleash your rage" on mom's Boss or let him off easy makes no difference to the story...so the decisions really don't matter.

Worth trying though it would be nice if what appears to be major choices did make a difference and the lighting on the scenes was improved.

I'm really thankful for having tried this one out. The game ticks all the right boxes: top notch renders, great animations, that are only improving with each release, and quite the gripping and exciting story.

The characters have interesting personalities. If you're looking for a nice horror game, very well made, with great renders and animations, this is your game.

Dev, keep up the great work!

Graphics are great, premise and plot is great, models are great, but dev REALLY screwed up progression. At the very start you get fucking, fingering, nude bodies - all of it. What's left? Too much reward from the start, no buildup...

v0.6c i'm not much of a reviewer, and my english is rusty, but i see potential in this game and i'd like to add my constructive aspects.

Good points:
- Good renders.
- Beautiful girls, very nice models, maybe the only problem it's a typical one with these games, but the mother's model looks like any other young character.
- Nice animations, they are not great but they're clearly better than average.

Bad points:
- Remember that it's a game to fap, at first it goes well with the tease, but it seems that never moves on from that point, or it takes too much time.
- The story. It starts good, nice personalities for each character, good atmosphere, interested of what's gonna happen, but later on i start to wondering what's the mayor difference between choosing corruption or not, "Bright Lord" often do what he wants, no matter the option i choose.
- Chloe. Damn what a pain in the ass she becomes after some time playing. It seems like she's the MC by the way every other character in the game just forgive her for everything she does.

I hope this game gets better with time.

Good:

• Models for the MC's counterparts are all gorgeous. Emily is cute in a very endearing/innocent way. Nicely done there. Landlady looks quite similar to Emily, but with bigger tits. Chloe is stunning in every way. She's definitely my favorite.
• Appreciate that there's animations. Keep them coming! The very first one really is stellar with the titties bouncing and whatnot. Some are a bit more...see-saw? Not sure how else to explain them, but it's obvious when a more fluid result is there which ones were kinda phoned-in.
• MC's relationship with Emily is a believable one with a good dynamic. I like their inside joke/teasing.

Neutral:

• Models are sexy, their faces a bit generic/Barbie-ish to me.
• The "landlady" character model could stand some aging to distinguish her from her fully-grown "tenants".

Bad:

• Why are "hehe" and "haha" inserted so frequently and randomly when there's nothing humorous going on? Expanding on that a bit: I find myself a bit confused overall about the inconsistency with the grammar and punctuation. Sometimes characters' thoughts and words are laid out colloquially, succinctly, etc. Sometimes there's a comma after damn near every other word. Questions are sometimes phrased as statements.
• In the scene w/ MC and Emily going for a hike and they get lost, are we to believe they set out first thing in the morning, and after a few hours it was dusk? Or that they were indeed out for a full day with no food or water?
• I'm just going to be blunt here: Bright Lord (the character) is written terribly. To the extent that every time their dialog is on the screen I consider exiting the game, but just blow past it because it's so...unrefined and juvenile. "...and shit". There's nothing whatsoever convincing or intriguing about his character or backstory. The justification and brief context he provides to the MC as to who he is and what he's motivated by is so impossibly lazily written, but has so much potential. Even psychodelusional's half-assed evil character in Dark Neighborhood was better written than this guy. His dialog (and others') also isn't consistent; usually blue when it's MC + Bright Lord, but there are exceptions.
• A lot of the dialog is juvenile, actually. People say a lot of VNs have that quality about them as if written by a 14-year-old, and this definitely has that. It's as if the presumed maturity of the visuals is mismatched by cheesy ass lines like "My King" and "your sceptor". Let's keep it just this side of humorous when they be fuckin'.
• Why is the MC sharing an undecorated room with his sister, and both beds are child beds?

Overall, I just can't recommend this one. The 2 stars are because the models are excellent and the renders are good. The story leaves a lot to be desired, though.

I honestly don't have any complaints about this game! not even one.

The story is really really interesting. and you can't guess what turns it'll take.
The models are nice.
the characters are relatable and realistic.
the dialogues and reactions are logical and realistic. that's something you rarely see in these VNs.
there's a great mix of diversity in the sex scenes and sexual acts. especially forced sex and hypnotic sex.

I'm really invested in the story and want to see what happens next.

Ok, sorry if there is any grammar error in my review, english is not my mother language. Bright Lord does everything a good adult VN has to do, it has good models, good story + it drives with very good writting, the major difference between Bright Lord and others games is that the sex scenes aren't the best thing in the game, the story on the hand, it is the best thing and I wasn't expecting that from a porn game! can't wait for another update, it's just too good.

First things first, I really NEVER do any reviews but i really want to push this game.

Rendering 8/10 (Most of the renders are very good or perfect)
Sound 11/10 (Epic sounds! You'll see what i mean )
Music 10/10 ( Music fits the situations very well)

Story (11/10):
It's by far the most interesting Story i've ever played!
It could even be made as a movie / tv-show
(without the sex scenes) and it would STILL be good.

Overall a real Masterpiece and i enjoy and read every single scene (that's very rare for me )

I bloody love this VN. There are only a few titles on here where i get genuine excitement when they appear in the updated list, this is definitely one of them.

There isn't a single criticism I can place on it, the story is unique (from what I have played on here) and incredibly gripping, the characters are beautifully rendered, the whole playing experience it is visually impressive, its also a game that can stand on its own and doesn't need constant sex scenes to keep me interested. Don't of course get me wrong, I love them (a lot) but it says a lot about a story when I don't miss them when they are not there all the time.

@ the dev, thank you for your hard work in creating this, your vision is turning out the be a spectacular ride and i cannot wait to see how the story pans out.
