For the slime, did you follow its tracks? You must use detect magic to find a trail, and make sure to keep using detect magic until you find the end of the trail (an isolated tree).
... Or he can just either do that once, then go straight to the lone tree on the deepest forest screen every subsequent time, or just go straight to the lone tree on the deepest forest screen.

The correct tree is very blatantly out of place after all, as all the other trees are clumped together in groups, it's literally the odd tree out.
Even the first time through, close to that tree was the only time I cast Detect while hunting that slimegirl.

That's true, but I figured this would make the logic behind the quest easier to understand, and also make finding the tree trivial.

To be fair, considering it's an RPGM game and I missed the Detect spell mentions somehow, I thought there would be an entity visibly moving/idling on the map

Only 3 years? Those are rookie numbers! I fully expect the first words by the lead astronaut returning from Mars to be "so, I stopped playing this in high-school, is the game finally finished?"
It's been so long since I last played (August 2022) that I forgot the game wasn't finished (?)

I was really surprised to see it suddenly show up in recent updates. If there's a bunch of new content, I'm pretty sure I forgot all the puzzles by now and can probably replay the vampire path?

Usually, that's how it goes, but often there are puzzles or puzzle-like elements to the quests (I generally dislike pure combat content, and I didn't develop the combat system enough, so I didn't add too much of it in isolation).

The game keeps chugging along with its monthly updates, which both makes me happy (in the sense that it's doing well and I am still polishing it while having fun) and disappoints me bitterly (I really should have finished the game by now). In more than 2 years, we got a lot of new content, that's for sure.

Is there any plans for the game to be finished this year or will it still be awhile

how do i get the option to visit the father of the baby active?
That option isn't available yet, sorry. I should probably remove it until I add it in (assuming it doesn't end on the chopping block for the 1.0 release).

How much freedom does the game offer when viewing cutscenes?
Do you mean if there is a replay room? The answer is no. I didn't plan for it in the beginning, and now it's too much work to implement it properly. If you mean mechanically, inhibitions are the biggest limiting factor, but you can easily lower it by drinking. Some scenes require you to have a specific trait and there are also a few mutually exclusive paths (if you find a certain secret, it's possible to undo some of the paths, so this isn't as restrictive as it first looks).

does anyone have 100% gallery
If you just want to see the full gallery, there is a way to unlock it in the debug tool ("travel sphere" in the key items): Interact with the NPC in the bottom left corner, and he should give you the option.

I mean freedom in the game, if you can do what you want, for example doing repeated missions to level up, working, going wherever you want, etc... Or if everything is tied to the story, meaning that the more you advance in the story, the more things you unlock.

There is a fair amount of content that isn't tied to story progression (all the jobs are practically their own thing, several romances/paths are similar, etc.) however there are some things that only become available if you progress through the chapters (like becoming a noble, for example). Also, some characters or factions have stakes in certain quests, and so playing through them might provide unique encounters or scenes during those quests, depending on where your loyalty lies, so there are "incentives" to progress the story and unlock more quests (quests ARE tied to progression through the chapters).

You can go almost wherever you want from the get go, although at least 1 area is restricted in the first chapter and another restricted until you complete a certain quest. Also, quests in general often have their own unique maps, as you might imagine.

There isn't a traditional level up system, so there aren't opportunities to grind or repeat quests/missions, in general.

Experiencing a soft lock during the Rahib house warming party with Luna and Sole. Pretty sure I have already gone through the event once before so not sure why it triggered a second time. Only two of the NPC's offer a toast which prevents me from progressing.

I assume the Travel Sphere probably won't break things too badly to escape the event seeing as it doesn't really tie into anything major?

Game version: 0.9.20
Stage in story: Chapter 2

How did the event re-trigger, exactly? After speaking with the twins at work, re-entering your house, something else? It definitely shouldn't have happened twice. Also, could you perhaps send me your savefile?

Sorry I should have mentioned how it triggered. I tried to do a dance training session with them which to my understanding is how it normally triggers. It's been a while since I last did anything with them while I did other side content.

When I previously did the house warming event I only spoke to and drank with the NPC's that give you money. Which sort of explains the two functioning NPC's the second time around.

Here's my save file: (edit: removed file)

I appreciate you taking a look at it. Let me know if you need any more details.

Thanks for sending me the save file. I figured out the bug, and it will be fixed in version 0.9.22.

If you have a save prior to that one (ideally, one that was taken before the party AND the training before the one that triggered the party), I'd recommend going back to it. You can in theory use the travel sphere to escape, as you mentioned before, and it won't break much, however if you do that I recommend avoiding the twins training until you get the fixed version, as the bug resets the progress on that path and can loop endlessly as long as you continue training with the twins (you can always escape with the travel sphere again, but that doesn't seem ideal, of course).

I think you should be able to simply replay through the path, but if some other problem arises, you can tell me what it is, and I'll fix your save file, worst case scenario.

Awesome, glad I was able to help. I have another save elsewhere in the game with the same quest progression I can play from instead.
