All the events are first available for everyone, but later they will expire and they should no longer be accessed.
We're currently working on a system for patreon builds to access the expired events in case they weren't completed yet.

These events are meant to be an extra-reward for the players who keep an eye on the updates, on top of the contents offered for that update (new content and new systems).

In the same vein as Persona 5, albeit not to the same extent, I would call this game 'effortly stylish'.

You're definitely building something with a core loop that has enormous potential: the correct use of number go up and the above mentioned style combine to give this a very 'mobile game'-y feel, but it still feels more grounded with all the character interaction.
Someone definitely did their homework here.
