I advise you to hold off on updates until the bugs are fixed and Episode 2 is stable. The developers make a lot of changes and then the game saves are incompatible.

Temporary Fix for Phone Bug
replace file in
game/compact/after_load.rpy
Steps
1) Download the attached file
2) go to where you have College Kings 2 downloaded the default location is
C:\Games\College Kings 2
3) double click the game folder
4) then go into the compact folder,
5) find the after_loadrpy file, then delete it
6) put this file in the same folder (edited)

Ignore Season 1.
Download Act I - v1.2.6 (complete 3 Acts) and then import save to Act II - 2.2.5.

In a nutshell, yes.
I checked the developers' git and these are hotfixes in the game code (15 MB).
They add hotfixes on a regular basis and publish "silent updates" from time to time.

There should be an "Import" button in the game under the "Load" tab. Just click it and select your last game save. You can manually go to the CollegeKings folder and copy your last save to the CollegeKings2 folder. Example game save name "1-1-LT1" (the first number is the page number, and the second number indicates the game save slot - each page contains 6 game save slots).
