I noticed the same thing. What I've realized is that it's what you're incentivized to do as a creator in this entertainment genre. People get excited by a string of great updates, subscribe, and then either forget they've subscribed or apparently are fine paying in exchange for nothing. Whether it's forgetfulness or being a sucker, either way you're not really rewarded as a porn game dev for being consistent with your content production.
The other aspect, I think, is that devs are taking on projects in this genre with insane scope relative to their staffing. Usually it's just one dude doing it in their spare time, and it's not shocking that they struggle to meet expectations in terms of schedule.
Then the final part is that because it's an understaffed team (or individual) working on a project with major scope, eventually they become exhausted and/or personally disinterested, and the whole thing dies or gets wrapped up prematurely.
I think we're seeing some signs that the genre is "professionalizing". Cure My Addiction, Become a Rock Star, Being a DIK, and the Treasure of Nadia people/teams are all high-quality and very consistent with their updates. I suspect the "market" is going to start to have higher expectations, too - I think you're going to see people become a lot quicker to pull the plug on Patreon commitments to devs who don't consistently hit their update targets.

I was going to sub a while back, until i saw the update frequency, then decided against it. 2-3 months between updates is bad enough (but for good games, worth it), but once a year, i'm afraid is just too long, and after seeing that there will be pretty much nothing worthwhile in the next update when/if it happens, then it's definitely a no. Shame though, cos i really like this game.
forget about this game all the developer has done in 10 months is teaser images and wallpapers( and he practically confirmed it on the discord.) therefore, there will be no version 0.3 from this developer. maybe some of the fans will, but this hypocrite is definitely not.
he doesn't release an update at the end of February because allegedly there is not enough content and he does not want to upset people, and he made everyone happy with the delay (anyone will understand that this is stupid logic and is only permissible when there is no content at all)

Oye, that's pretty bad tbh. Kinda throws to shit the whole 'I just keep adding and adding content it's such a problem I have!'
I kinda wanted to just leave this thread alone but was thinking to myself that if he wasn't CURRENTLY sitting on a minimum of 2-3k renders then something smells like teen spirit. I mean nobody was expecting that, I would imagine, but when you post an excuse whining about how you just can't deliver because you keep adding and adding to things then you sure as shit better be sitting on something that actually backs up those words.

I mean, he is probably fine with having a core fanbase that will give him all the time he wants to make his game and treating it as an hobby.
If he wishes to release a small update yearly and making some money out of it, its totally fine, but he shouldn't throw release dates around, using the perfectionism wildcard and getting upset over people expressing disappointment towards false promises/undelivered content.
Though if he is serious about treating this project as a hobby, then he should do so already and I am sure that he would be unironically more productive without perfectionism and stuff getting to his head.
All of the above counts as long as he isn't actually adopting some milking strategy which, unfortunately, we can't totally exclude from the overall pitcure.

He could only make worse giving new release date. Guess he didnt want to make even more pressure on himself. I belive that he is much more depressed by missing deadline than anyone of us. I used to be his patreon and had few conversations with him and i know that he is doing his best. Its maybe his burden, but i know that he is 100% honest.

He answered to someone complaining on his official discord not to expect 2000 renders or 2 hours worth of content, if that's not related to the 0.3 release as you are saying, then he is making even worse publicity to his own product by lying to people that the worth of content won't reflect the time gap between each update.
there will be no 0.3 he can say anything

Images these days can go over x200mo one, even up this given settings.
Add hardware failure, creating render is heavy on cg and pcu, mitigated by one components + setup (guess using liquid cooling is the only effective option ?).
So, temp + components getting hot.
Don't know how it is for others, but for me, most cables and fans are quite easy to damage, even some who start loose external gain as some point ??
This and more mean that going without backup is a bad idea, had the time between now and previous update..

Over Crow funding, most successful campaign are such because they are set to release teasers and progress as it go, both as funding go and until release. Safely that's not common at all. Memory then interest need refresh or its soon refreshed, as we are more sensible to bad events than good ones it doesn't help at all.

The Heavy five dev puts out updates which have like 15-20k renders every 3 months along with animations and this guy makes more than they do. Shameful.
Anyway, I think the dev should put out the next update as soon as possible even if it's a short one. Atleast that way he'll be able to start anew and expectation free for the update after that.

This game could be abandoned or not, yet i would say considering that it could be compared with heavy five in terms of the current developing point/level, this one has nothing to feel ashamed in that comparison. Moreover, this one is superior by any mean, apart from having virtual female "dev"/host "entertaining" players by breaking third/four wall every now end then.

No, I dont live in a delusion. Most of milkers have excuses like i was in hospital for 2 months, death in family, burnout and shit like that and nobody believe them. Ttll is one of rare who told that he is working but he isnt able to make wished pace. He didnt make some shity excuse like most of them. He said that he is slow, and that is that. You can like that or not.

Quality, when it comes to artistic endeavours is obviously not objectively decided. So that's fair if you think this game is better. Personally I like this one more as well.
