Dude, That is like almost all the companions cept the wives... and even them sometimes depending on the writer.
i mean, the can't keep it in his pants sure but i cant remember the last time Brint/Brienne, Arona, Atugia, or even Cait honestly complained much at all. to be clear the can't keep it in his pants is mostly annoying to me as someone not into dicks and his was always out. the im a whiny little bitch was the thing that really made me unable to stand him

I will second not caring for Berwyn but I don't recall it being so often. Then again, I rarely invited or visited him. The transition scene still cracks me up, though.

They gave you the chance to transform him into a chick, just to lock him away inside femdom psycho tower forever, edging the player just enough to feel we are back, only to ruin it at last moment so we would knew it was over. The eternal CoC2 balance of wonder and disappointment

I really don't get why they spent time and resources on this just to turn around and demote him. That's the kind of work a project puts into elevating a character.

Writer tackles the new big thing he has been working on, realizes it's too much so he jumps to the next big thing, meanwhile they get another writer to do the previous part, but the new writer wants to focus on his own thing which happens to be the next big thing. Writer tackles the next big thing he has been working on, realizes it's too much so he jumps to the new big thing...

"Ha! We dedicked a character but we locked her in a cage! What are ya gonna do now, huh?"
"...Visit her?"
"...Ah, OK."

The Ballad of Hirrud losing his cat harem to his sworn enemy, Durrih, will always live in the hearts of Hawkerthorn's citizens, also, why is his belt an upside down coin purse?, that's just silly

It wasn't two different decisions. Noone wanted to work on Berwyn so Savin commissioned B to give him an ending. It wasn't like he started on Berwyn then gave up - their actual alternative was deleting him iirc.

I really don't get removing a companion without having another to take his place. Unless Vivian is supposed to be his replacement even though she has very little content.

I think just letting him stay a companion even without having a new writer would have been better especially since there are companions with active writers who haven't really been updated anyway. But I guess someone would need to add 2 levels worth of skills but couldn't anyone do that?

Was it out of respect or workload? Also by the way I'm seeing people talk about him. He seems to be a dead end and looking more like I shouldn't bother with em.

If I had to guess, probably some spite was involved.

Then again, pretty sure someone here said tbat the original writer was now doing fanfiction of Berwyn getting fucking slaughtered anyway, poor dog had worse outcomes.

I opened the official blog to check for updates for the first time in months, and what greeted me was canine dildos with Fenoxo boasting about having gotten one for testing.

God does not exist.
Not the first time they're promoting dildos. Lol.
The only difference, the first time Fen didn't get one for "testing". :KappaPride:

Found a mega folder with some fanfics but those are mostly regular furry sex stuff, which is nice. Still, wish I had found that cursed grial of edgy gore-sex, true corruption born from the blackened womb of the fenoxo forums

And in another Berwyn related matter, wonder why they never promoted those fantasy dongs using him, I mean, it should be really easy, with anyone to be honest. They must have a loyal community of dildo enjoyers to appeal

Yea I saw that mentioned somewhere in here sometime back. But the fuck? Type of weird self hating your own creation type shit is going on there? Like what the hell went on behind the scenes. To make you take your own stuff and just mangle it afterwards? Unless they were always weird like that

Where the lore people at? I need hints and backstories! Help me piece together this tapestry of fuckery if it's true.

Strictly speaking, why would you need to replace them? None of the companions have any story importance. There's no real reason to replace a companion if you get rid of one.

Anyway Berry didn't have any dialogue in the story plot beating updated combat sets etc.

At bare minimum hed need to combat update, dialgue for story beats a writer for big group scenes (Savin is wroting another big scene at the end of KM like the Winter Ball and I think he said theres going to be one more), an ending, etc.

And, as much as it irks us to wait there's a big difference between a companion not being updated and never going to be updated. Atugia got a quest eventually, and will get another one. Even Agni has a quest in the works. Berry had nothing and noone wanted to take him.

Imo it was the right decision (outside of reconciling with Hugs). It's not like he actually lost much - there were like two scenes I can recall he had outside of the tavern.

He's just a normal NPC now, with a story arc - he's not any more of a dead end than any other NPC.
