The cyberware stuff is really cool indeed, convoluted as fuck, but cool. The problem is the shoved in unbalanced survival bullshit.
I'm not doubting dev's ability to make new cool stuff, everything in the game already IS cool as fuck, the problem is it's ALL shoved in and feel out of place.

It feels like... if you had a really fancy coffee maker, but just used it to make orange juice. I don't know how to say it any other way hahahahaha

I actually quite liked the cyberware being visible, even individually body parts. And the items to hide the cyberware if you want is cool too, then you can have full borg conversion, but still look 100% like human body if you don't like the aesthetic.

And that's exactly what infuriates me, so much cool shit thrown all over the place without fucking cohesion at all... it's frustrating as fuck.

To me it seems that they usually realise that their game is really easy so they just crank all the difficulty factors to 100 instead of adding actual depth to their games
Like oh you wanna craft arrows? Bring me 300 golden duck feathers type of shit. Or just spamming health on enemies.
EDIT: just wait for cheats bro and if they don't come, just play something else. Or just boot up unreal engine and animate your own models, it's quite enjoyable even if you can't animate as well.

He's got some strange priorities. He makes this whole cyberware system and the workbench and medical terminal still don't have models, they're still giant blocks with words on them.

Guys so i played like 5 mins as of now and will continue to do so.
But what i can say for sure is the optimization is A LOT better. It's like No Man's Sky 's launch vs how it is rn fr.
Now i know everything is all over the place and this game's been in development for a long time, i fucking remember playing
LAZERZOMBIES and enjoying it.
But idk i feel like it's coming along nicely. Everything (mechanics) barely work together with each other but you can not write anything on a paper if you didn't make any paper out of a tree iykwim. And i also know making paper doesn't take years but eh that's the best metaphor i could come up with. Just know that we will hit a point where it's all hotfixes, bugfixes and QoL updates (might take 20 years so my son can play) (actually idk if i want my son to find out this site). Just don't be like the people in Project Extermination's thread.
