So you didn't get soft-locked, you reached the end of the game.
You played the Parody route (where you start as a grill). I may go back and do a bit more with it, or may end up rewriting the ending. I don't know yet what I'm going to do with it, but that is the end of the game.
Though there is a missing scene that I didn't realize was still unfixed.
same thing happened to me
Are you playing Grill route? (if you see a developers note at the very very end, that's the end of the grill route).
If you're not playing grill route, can you please give me more information and your save file? If there is a bug that's blocking people from progressing I'd want to fix it ASAP.
Going forward though, I will make sure it's more obvious that you've reached one of the endings here.
If you have time you can refine your AI image generation, remaster these old images.
Yeah, Eins has asked me to do the same (the guy who voluntarily writes a bunch of scenes for me).
I want to, and intend to. But there are so many late game scenes missing art that those are my priority at the moment.
Or at the very least try and find some gifs that aren't too jarring with massive character differences that I can stick in there.
Just went through a discord channel for AI, thought why not read it from start to end. Went through a persons entire ai image generation journey. From Lovecraftian abomination to awesome works now. There was a gradual improvement in the images that came out. I also learned that the negative section is actually important and not just for me to ignore.
Yeah, my art (both my own as well as the AI I've been creating) have gotten much better. Though it's getting harder and harder to stay consistent with art styles as I improve various things.
However I've run into two problems recently.
1. AI has a tendency to create the same types of photos. And in AI's defense, look at a japanese visual novel. Most of the scenes in their are close-up or point of view shots. So when you try to make a scene with AI, you usually get close-up / POV sex shots.
The problem is that AI is so good at making those (minus mangled fingers/etc) that any games that use AI are going to mostly have the same kind of images. So I spend a lot of time in Photoshop trying to improve or remake images. Usually that means generate 100 images, pick out 10 good ones, merge pieces of those images together in photoshop, blend them together with various tools such as the stamp tool, cut out body parts and modify the hue to try and make the skin color match as close as possible, then try to hide my edits in photoshop in various ways (stamp tool, redrawing sections, blur, etc).
Alternatively sometimes I cannot get the AI to get anywhere close to what I want and I need to draw it myself.
(Here's an example)
You can see how I get some parts of various images that are good that I can use photoshop to cut out those parts and merge them together. I'm lucky when I get this close, usually I'm redrawing entire legs / etc. But this method takes me a very very long time.
2. The second issue is that there's something wrong. It might be with my PC as I had a couple of power outages that knocked out my PC. I've not had any major issues since, but I've had a couple minor ones. Such as nearly every app on my PC, the icon is now missing. The usual fixes for this haven't fixed it.
But also, I'm not sure if its related or not, but my AI generation has gotten drastically slowed. Originally I thought this was due to xformers but I'm no longer sure. So I used to be able to create say 10 large images in 2minutes on my 4090 gpu.
It now takes up to 30 minutes or more to generate those 10 images. And while sometimes the stable diffusion / other AI discord groups can be helpful, they're not tech support. So I've only found a few other people with the same issue as me and as far as I can find, none of us have been able to resolve it.
I am probably going to switch from Intel to AMD and rebuild my computer soon though, so hopefully this won't be an issue in a few months. I'm just waiting for the 9950x3d to come out.
