What does it mean by 'updated only' in the download buttons for extended harem ending? Should it be downloaded separately?

To be sharp the message on page 1 say "Updated Only (Harem finale -> Extended Harem finale) " that highly likely means that you need to download Harem finale ending files first and than patch them by that "updated only" files.

Man...
You know, you look through the changelog a bit and see stuff like, "we fixed up the script"... But the sheer amount of commas I added and broken tenses I fixed in my copy of the script as I was reading just the path of rejecting everyone is huge.
Well, turns out that beside the complete harem ending, none of the endings exist yet, so I guess I'll just leave the partially fixed files lying around to merge with the full version once it's out, then get back to work fixing stuff so I can actually enjoy it...
I swear, sometimes playing porn games is more work than anything else.

Anyway, I enjoyed what I read, but I really wish there was a grammar-fixing program you could run Ren'Py games through. Fucking sick of this.

Also, I really wish people would stop marking games as "Completed" when it's realistically still gonna take a year or two for all the missing content to be added. Just because the game has an ending, doesn't mean it's complete.

Just finished it and I don't get the dislike for the ending. It had some sad parts, I guess you all wanted only happy endings, but this made more sense to me with the rest of the story. In the end it's exactly what the MC needed for his journey to continue. I want to say more but I don't want to spoil it. I will say this is done often in anime to make the protagonist grow.

It's funny because it's hard to find any other media that botches endings as much as anime. :BootyTime:

If you want to fuck up your story right at the end, just ask the Japanese.

Just found out about this game recently, and even though it's been done for a while now, I think I'll give my 2 cents; I don't think "bad ending" or "sad endings" are bad per se, it just depends on the feelings the story up to that point where invoking on the reader. This is something really hard to explain, since it's more "vibes" than anything, but people hate having control taken away from them in any fashion, so making them think your story is going to have a good ending and then not giving them that just feel bad. Good examples for these situations: Saya no Uta, Kara no Shoujo, CHAOS;HEAD, even Euphoria. The story makes it clear from the begining to the end that the story is not about a happy ending, it's about something else. Even with some light moments and some moments of hope sprinkled there, it's always obvious that things are gonna go bad. Of course, shock moments can be good, but not the ending. The ending is meant to wrap up what happened in the story until then, including the reader's feelings. Things can go bad in a story, but it needs to happen in the middle or the final moments of the story, not the ending.
