did you by any chance download the mac version? and can you post your pc specs

No log.txt or traceback.txt being generated in the folder where the .exe is? If not, something else could be blocking it from even opening, such as antivirus/antimalware software. Might want to look into the logs and see.

Did you whitelist the RenPy exe ? in AVirus ? that was a known bug in some RenPy versions.

In your Antivirus Settings, I don't know which you run that is why I'm a bit vague at the moment.

Restart your computer. There might be a hanged process somewhere.
Also, after double clicking it once, wait without double clicking again.
It might be slow to load, during which if you double click again it will try to run multiple duplicate copies which slow it down exponentially and risk causing a hang.
