If anyones still stuck with the key and hammer but the hidden bookshelf doesnt work, try taking the number 2 book again (I had to take it twice for it to work). After that try the bookshelf and it should work.

For people who are stuck, there is a hidden room behind a lone bookshelf in the safe room (1F left side). That's where you'll meet the mansion owner and progress more, at least for me.

That is actually such bullshit, fuck this game
