I agree with you about that. I did not like when that happened either. They aren't really previews, IMO. When a dev gives a progress update, you tend to get two sorts of images shared - some are previews, that show a bit of a scene and hint at what might be happening (but hopefully don't confirm anything, as they are just teasers). Then there are what I think of as more like social media photos. They are just pictures of the MC/LI and you can't deduce anything at all from them. They are practically just profile pics or random close up photos that you might post on Instagram.
Obviously the first are the better kind, as they lead to discussion - I've seen dozens of posts giving theories just for one tiny aspect of a preview photo in other threads. There's a line though between a preview and an outright spoiler, and the issue is that a lot of devs either don't know where the line is, or are too cautious of even getting close to it, so we end up with the social media-type "previews" instead.
So, a couple went to a counselor about their bedroom issues. The counselor gives the husband some secret advice, and suddenly, their sex life's amazing. But the wife notices he's muttering during sex, turns out he's just saying, "This woman is not my wife." Old joke, I know, probably been around for ages. Martin is the main "bull" in the game, so he is kinda at the center of attention. With EP6, there are only 2 possible "bulls" - Emma's college teacher (forgot his name), and Martin.
We can safely surmise that EtBA was supposed to have more potential partners for Emma, but the developer got burned out on trying to maintain 4 parallel paths (Loyalty, Cuckolding/Sharing, MMF, and Cheating) just for Martin, so he decided to wrap up the game now before introducing another "bull" that would double the already heavy burden on him.

Yeah, Emma has gotten herself into quite a mess on the cheating path. On that path, my opinion is that Patrick deserves better. She's done some incredibly disrespectful things and has shown no conscience about it.
