That is basically no change, which can be read as bad thing because you would expect steam release have some lasting effect rather then just 1 month spike. But then given the backlash you would expect a huge drop but there is none.

b) PH's PR person argues that with gacha "people hop regularly". Demo has no gacha while Beta has.
Thus Beta (according to PH) should show better performance than Demo. But it doesn't just use simple KPI of % of p of those playing an hour ago to the peak number. Demo had 15% of its peak playing an hour ago. Beta just 6% of its peak.

All of these prove how much of a bullshit PH's arguments in defense of online-gacha-shit are.

They want to control how you enjoy the product with your hard-earned money.
This isn't you modding the assets or patching in random BS. This is them putting artificial time limits, gates, and other bullshit to justify selling more DLC.

sadly thats not accurate. those simple gacha games generate much more money by exploitative and predatory monetisation.

and thats why so many developers choose or are forced by their puplishers to somehow incorporate forms of microtransactions into the games these days.

its the sad state of gaming in general. and as long as people are willing to throw hundrets or even thousands of dolloars towards ingame items/characters/skins, this trend my not go down.

I think the best example is FIFA ultimate team - the gacha mode in FIFA makes them twice the amount of money compared to box sales. Keep in mind that only small % players spend money in that mode like 1% or something.

It was never in the game at all. We never even had a single screenshot or video of her. Just the concept art and some 3D modeled costumes. Many people think she was never made in the first place, since they knew Steam would never accept her. I could easily believe that at this point. Smoke and mirrors.

There have been several images of her on the patreon going as far back as March 2020 when they showed the first prototype images of the 3d model. She exists, but they never put her in the original gallery mode and not in the beta. They have her, even voice samples for her, but she will never be in as she was. Pure vaporware.
